If you bought a PS5 Pro, how satisfied are you with your purchase? Please only vote in the poll if you own a PS5 Pro (votes are public).

I haven't bought one myself yet, but I may. That's part of why I'm asking. I'm also wondering if the initial "mixed" opinion on the PS5 Pro has shifted. I know we are still early in PS5 Pro's lifecycle, and that things will improve over time. This is just a snapshot, but I'm wondering how people are feeling about it now, 4 months after release.

For me, I've played several games.

Rebirth and Demon's Souls looks incredible. Demon's Souls on PS5 Pro is a sight to behold. I'm not impressed easily as a long term PC gamer, but in particular Demon's Souls is the standout game here. Anyone who sees Demon's Souls on PS5 Pro will understand the need for the console. Some games had their performance completely ironed out, Elden Ring, Dragon's Dogma, Wukong.

Some games got pro patches initially but didn't start looking great until more patches came in(Diablo 4).

Any game that came out since the Pro came out has been excellent. In fact, most games that come out now seem to only run acceptably on the pro and are a shitshow on base PS5 and sometimes even PC(Monster Hunter Wilds).

Overall, it was a must buy and still is. Anyone that is buying a new PS5 simply has no choice. The pro is the only way to go. It craps all over the base unit and I say that as a day 1 PS5 purchaser. So far it's a 10/10 and it is only getting better.

I voted somewhat satisfied.

I think it's a great machine, but I play on every platform (PS/PC/XB/SW as well as retro). I think going forward it will be better once more games come out that use it and are developed for it.

I knew what I was going into. Some games could have better support but I think the hardware is good, and if they can improve PSSR closer to FSR4/DLSS, it might be better than I anticipated.

Honestly, it's a bit expensive, but mostly enjoying the benefits even if on balance it isn't worth the extra.

I also brought a meta quest 3 512 gb that's not been turned on since Christmas so guess I have too much disposable income rofl

Somewhat satisfied. It's not as good an upgrade as the PS4 Pro was, but certain games do look a lot nicer. It's much more subtle and there have been growing pains. I'm okay with it but when the PS4 Pro came out, I thought it was a no brainer upgrade for anyone who wanted to play PS4 on a 4K TV. Now, I have a much tougher time recommmending the PS5 Pro.

All the pro consoles have been my favorites. One X, 4 Pro and 5 Pro, etc.
It offers peace of mind that whatever game I'm playing will be at it's best for consoles 99% of the time.

Considering I paid $100 of my own money for it, I could not be any more satisfied with it even though I don't play games anywhere near as much as I used to.

Within expectations. Hopefully it will shine in the latter half of the generation. It’s the best place to play console games and being a console only gamer I can’t complain at all.

Neutral. I have a gaming PC, so I bought it for exclusives. Not much available yet. I am looking forward to DS2, Yotei and GTA6 on it this year though. I wouldn't be suprised if Yotei and maybe GTA6 slip to next year. I've tried a few games on it. The upgrades are nice, but nothing huge. For what it is priced at it does not seem worthwhile just yet. It's a much worse value then the PS4Pro was. I am not disappointed though since this is all what I expected when buying it.

I don’t know if I’ve voted correctly. I’m somewhat satisfied but more than above neutral. Maybe somewhat is lost in translation. So I’ve vote mostly but mostly for me is indistinguishable from completely. Anyways: if you hate FSR is a good inversion. I’d have expected to say “a complete ripoff, only for enthusiast like me” by the time the 5000 and 9000 series where out, but sadly is still a good deal although is not a hardware selling at loss like the base consoles.

I think it's silly that it launched without a major 1st party game to say, "Wow look at this shit!", and that most of the promotional material for the game is using either remasters or updates to four year old 1st party games.

That said, the games that embrace the new technology look stellar.

What if Concord was meant to be the showcase game?

but seriously, their PS5 Pro patches were legit good, but yea they were for old games. Spiderman 2 looked terrific.

I'm happy with it, I have a 4090 pc build as well that I use also and I just have always loved the Playstation ecosystem and the pro is great, and will continue to be utilized even better.

Somewhat satisfied. The games I play look and run great, but there aren't that many of them. I only buy it for exclusives or PS5-only games because there's no guarantee third-party titles won't be garbage even on the Pro. Otherwise, I play them on my PC.

With GTA VI, and potentially DS2 and GOY, this could change for the better.

It's a C for me as of right now.

Completely satisfied. Besides being an upgrade, it motivated me to go back and play some of the PS games I didn't finish (GOW:Ragnarok, Miles Morales, etc) and pick up some I had been putting off (GT7, Rise of the Ronin). The system should keep me happy until the PS6 launches, if not longer.

In games that make good use of PS5 Pro, the improvement is very evident compared to the base PS5 and will only improve over time. I'm looking forward to seeing Death Stranding 2 on the Pro.

I'm coming from a PS4 Pro to a PS5 Pro. When i was looking at the forum, the generation change wasn't looking great and i can confirm, I don't feel the generation change that much. At the end fast loading screen is probably the best new thing in this generation.
However, I don't regret the Pro to hopefully get stable frame rate and the disk space is also well appreciated.

It was worth it just to be able to play BG3 split screen at 60fps (obviously not all of Act 3). Also POE2 looks amazing on it as do a bunch of other games I've played.

Is it worth £700 (£800 with disc drive)? Not sure about that, but I play it enough that I'll get my money's worth I'm sure.

Only played old stuff without a pro patch so i can't really tell, returnal still has hiccups during combat so it didn't solved almost anything just by bruteforcing the game.

Sushi2\gta6\fedex 2 are gonna be what make or break the console (but really it's just gta6, 95% of why i bought a pro).

Somewhat Satisfied

But I think the best is yet to come with things like PSSR improvements, the best way to play GTA6 (before PC release) and such.

people saying they're satisfied with this piece of overpriced shit are trying to validate throwing $800 down the drain.

I traded my PS5 to get it and I have to say to anyone reading this that it's not worth it, probably when we have games with defined advantages for the HW. Will it be $800 worthy? most likely not.

Thankfully I'm playing Rebirth now and don't feel completely ripped off, since the game is one of the *very* few that looks and plays better.

I can only speak for myself but No I have no regrets in buying a PS5 pro.

Outside of SH2 and Jedi Survivor, it has worked well with every game I was interested in and upcoming games like (DS2, Indy, GTA, Yotei, Integalactic) only get me more excited. Double the storage alone was a big win for me. So... mostly satisfied.

Why are there so few votes on the lower end though? F Feel Like I'm On 42 and TGO TGO , get in here!

Completely satisfied bouncy because we got to that point in the generation, like we always do, where developers want to push small graphical improvements at the cost of much more noticeable drops in performance.

I hate that this always happens, but at least, the Pro can run those games (usually) at a 60 FPS. Any further graphical or raytracing improvements is just an added bonus.

But, Pro models shine because the developers still have to get the game running on the base version, so they don't usually push graphics too far to where the Pro can't handle them with good performance.

That's also the reason why I have no issues with cross-gen games. If the game runs ok on PS4, it will run great on PS5.

Mostly satisfied. There are handful releases i didnt try on pro because pssr implementation was poor, but most games where it works, it works with flying colours.

my 4090 is basically trash after how good and hassle free my games run.

as a professional graphics whore i always want the best but this time i let the 5090 be and went for the best console graphics possible in 2025

I wouldn’t say “no choice”. I don’t own a PS5. I do appreciate high fidelity visuals but that $399 Slim Astrobot bundle looks way more enticing as a newcomer than a $699 pro with no game, strictly on value alone.
