Not to take away from Ukraine's efforts, and sacrifices, but these past few weeks really have been a masterclass of the US's ability to militarily outclass the globe. Between calling Xi's bluff, realizing what a dozen HIMARs can do to the ENTIRE invading Russian army, blasting Al Qaeda off the earth (again) from beyond the horizon, and all the associated actionable intelligence (like in this case). It's just been lights out. And if the US actually wanted to strip down China, Russia, etc it's pretty evident it'd be absolute carnage.
Looking at the latest updates on deepstatemap. There's been a surprising amount of movement on both the Zaporizhia and Kharkiv (Izium) fronts. Several different spots that previously showed as being Russian controlled are now contested. Its hard to say if Ukraine is just doing some probing attacks or committing to full on counteroffensives. The next few weeks should be interesting.

If western powers haven't supplied Ukraine with much needed weapons then they'd be really against the ropes, and as if Russia would sit down to discuss a diplomatic solution. I feel sorry for her, but as an expat, the #1 rule of traveling abroad is "Do not end up in jail." Weed ain't legal in most countries. I've traveled abroad with weed vapes, but only to a country I've been to multiple times, already, and knew the laws for. Plus, my friend had already flown in twice with the vapes, so I knew it was fine. She was playing roulette, and lost. I honestly can't feel a ton of sympathy just because she's a famous athlete.
Rule #2 is "Do not end up in hospital", which I learned pretty well in Ho Chi Minh. I watch 2 people die in a crowded ER, after I'd had my leg gashed open. When you're overseas, you generally want to stick to basic behavior, unless you know you're safe. Griner was kind of an idiot. I think that's fair to say. She was LiAngelo Ball in China levels of stupid.
