This is gonna be a stupid question, but why are the Russians stupid enough to record themselves getting killed, bombed etc.

Surely it's gotta be making Putin seethe the whole world seeing in video how fucked up his troops are getting.

prob recording for their own propaganda channels, then the shit hits the fan and they either post the resulting carnage up cause.. well they're Russians and fucking stupid or else Ukrainians came accross the phone and upload it for the lolz

I saw this a few hours ago, but not from reliable sources.
Has it been confirmed? I have never seen that online news source.
Sadly I have no idea. I do hope it's true since it means more and more people will be against all this shit in Russia. Also, I do expect all of them to be in jail soon XD (if true).

If true, it would a sign of things changing.
But unless they have a strong support from the military, Putin will remain in power.

Thank you, but it kind of baffles me that I can potentially make more money from this side job than the amount of financial aid that I will be receiving per month if it will be approved.
I don't know how about in Ukraine, but here you barely survive on government financial aid. Not the mention what can economy there now afford.

Russian men have a nihilism problem, remember back before this started Russian guys would post videos of themselves doing dumb stunts and getting hurt, part of what makes Russia dangerous is they don't care about living
Well, they reported 2600 kills for yesterday so yeah, they’re on it.
Confirmed dead or casualties? Though hearing about surrender would be better, it's more contagious than dying plus I think we can all agree it'd be great if the average Russian grunt realized it isn't worth dying for a decaying madman's ambition.

That would be hilarious. Get that fucker to The Hague fast. Russians are losing hard now. What a total failure of a campaign. Even their propaganda channels are started to sweat and change narrative a bit. I just wish every EU country would bar any Russian national from entering.

Great to see the footage of liberated people celebrating the arrival of the Ukrainian heroes. The welcome the Russian Nazis thought they would get.

Interesting news today!! Hope they manage to do well.

https://www.reuters.com/world/europ...-pivotal-moment-kyiv-claims-gains-2022-09-08/

KYIV, Sept 9 - Swiftly advancing Ukrainian troops were bearing down on the main railway supplying Russian forces in the east on Friday, after the collapse of a section of Russia's front line caused the most dramatic shift in the war's momentum since its early weeks.
Ukrainian news websites have shown pictures of troops cheering from the top of armoured vehicles as they roar past street signs bearing the names of previously Russian-held towns, and Russian forces surrendering on the side of the road. The Institute for the Study of War think tank said the Ukrainians were now within just 15 km of Kupiansk, an essential junction for the main railway lines that Moscow has been using for months to supply its forces on the battlefields in the east.
The Ukrainian general staff said early on Friday retreating Russian forces were trying to evacuate wounded personnel and damaged military equipment.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/davida...punched-through-russian-lines-around-kharkiv/

"Absent fresh forces from outside, there’s not much to stop the Ukrainian brigades. “There was absolutely nothing behind the Russian ‘front line,’” Cooper noted. “No minefields, no fortifications, no strongholds and no other Russian units capable of launching counterattacks.”

Time for Putler to call on his allies, maybe Eritrea can help with their T-55's.. :p

Huge if true

If it is him, Putin will be disgusted he didn't take his own life rather than be captured....In the same way Hitler was enraged that Field Marshal Paulus didn't shoot himself rather than surrender to the Russians at Stalingrad in 1943. What goes around, comes around :messenger_grinning_smiling:

Rumour the Russians blew up the bridge in Kupyansk which would mean they surrendered the Western half. Also further down the river rumours Ukraine control the town with a bridge which goes directly down to izyum.

WTF is going on. Izyum is looking more fucked by the day. At this rate if the thousands of Russians decide to flee they'll have to leave all their artillery, ammo dumps and many vehicles behind while they flee off the main roads. And this front would have a lot of the above.

If they pull this off over the next few days this will go down in history. If Kharkiv is liberated this Will give a major boost in resources towards the other front lines.

Yep, this is movie worthy material if they pull it off.

Not only that.
I read somewhere that if they carve the orcs out of Kupyansk, they also add another 300 km between one of the main Russian R&R / Staging areas (Belgorod) and the Dombas. That plus all the added stress on the rail line system so more juice Himars/Tochka targets of opportunity.

Given the current State of the separatists morale...

Ps. Saky airbase in Crimea was hit again by missiles.

Good speculation about the operation of UA and how important the move to Kherson is.

Situated along the Dnieper River, the region is proximate to some of Ukraine's most strategic geography and infrastructure; at the moment the most strategic of that infrastructure are the bridges crossing the Dnieper, which brings us to the topic of the day. The difficulties Russia is experiencing in moving troops and materiel across the Dnieper are exactly the sort of trouble Soviet planners wanted to give any would-be Western invaders looking to move east.

Today is bringing some insane news... This is not confirmed, but pretty huge if true.

Pretty sure it's true or near enough. It's a full route - with Russian troops retreating in advance of the LNR and other conscripts who are just dying or captured or refusing to fight.

Ukraine now can move as fast as they can supply.

Lyman locals are reporting fighting on the town...

Could it be that Ukrania is assaulting the city? With troops pulled back to defend Kupyansk, the city defenses would be weaker and it would complete the cauldron around Izyum, effectively entering siege conditions.
