Wait.....you're just talking about New Game + right? I assumed due to supplies carrying over from each level that the game couldn't have a Chapter Select. When you beat the game, yes!

Not sure if posted but Kotaku's review is up.

It's a burly example of horror game maximalism, one that tries to take all the ways you can make a game scary and boil them over into a blood-red gumbo. Hallucinations on top of hallucinations, weird phenomena, tucked-away hamlets filled with homicidal residents, helpless, child-like weirdos if it's something that scared someone in a movie, TV or video game once, The Evil Within tries to cram it in there.
When you beat the game, yes!
Is Sebastian spanish or hispanic?
the camera in particular is abysmal, why couldn't they keep it like in RE4? No, it had to change and hide parts of the screen, just like the black bars. That and the poor camera makes for a very annoying experience IMO
I ran into a minor glitch on Chapter 8 several days ago but I was too lazy to get it off my PS4 and upload it to youtube until just now. Can't wait for that youtube implementation in firmware 2.00.
Sebastian Castellanos Learns Magic!
No worries guys, no spoilers at all in the video. Unless you count location as a spoiler.
Stand still while shooting.
You keep saying that, but that's not what the issue is. Just an hour ago I was doing the chapter 11 lift section and I had my crosshair dead center on an enemies chest and it decided to blow up a barrel that was four feet to the right and behind him.
And you keep saying stuff like this but I've never had a bullet veer off 4 feet away from my reticle. If you're standing still your shots are pretty damn accurate, if you're moving at all the shit goes flying wherever.
So fella's, this is kind of embarrassing: My first RE game was 5 which I loved, then 6 was next for me which I enjoyed a lot too. Now I beat Evil Within last night and thought it was fantastic. I have RE4 sitting in my Steam list untouched, but that's about to change. What else should I look out for as far as older games go similar in style to these? Silent Hill I assume?

Jesus Christ, I'm on chapter 13 Akumu, I think I know how to shoot by now.
I have stood completely still whilst aiming at a statue right next to me, lined my shot up perfectly, and still missed.

Someone is going to have to capture footage of this happening because -MD-'s capacity to deny this game's flaws is unmatched.
I have no idea why they put hip firing in this game, since it's almost impossible to hit anything.
Yeah, I wish they didn't. I'd rather have the screen be clear of the crosshair when not aiming too.I have no idea why they put hip firing in this game, since it's almost impossible to hit anything.
Deny its flaws lol? My first post when I got the game was laughing at how broken the ai was in chapter 2.

Legit Game changerPress circle to holster your weapon. Voila.

just started my run on nightmare and oh my freaking god, chapter 2 is kicking my ass, and all is fault of those stupids bonfires dropping my fps to 15.... maybe in should put the bars back on so my pc can run it better
His accent is clearly Venezuelan.
Yeah I have no idea what's the deal with the Spanish names in the game.
Holding out the lantern also gives you more light (maybe it doesn't but I convinced myself that it did)
Can't you stealth that chapter? Do they have better detection on nightmare or something?

YES, YES THEY DO, on my two runs on survival i had no problems with the guy that is by the bonfire, i just pased in front on him crouching, on the other side of the fence, but now, that mofo detects me all the time
In chapter 5, did I even need to do anything beside the furnace?
The map fragments must be really well hidden, haven't found one in forever.
There isn't enough mention of Manhunt similarities this game has.
I don't see Manhunt really, it's not mean and brutal enough. The Last of Us was actually more reminiscent of Manhunt.
Hey Guys, I need help with Chapter 15...
It seems like I don't have enough ammo to kill both of the keepers.. What do I do? Do you guys know of any weaknesses or strats to help me out with this fight? I must have died 10+ times here already.
I feel like this game drops way more ammo if you dump points into capacity. I maxed out the handgun and actually found a drop of 20 ammo for it two different times in the same chapter.
Slowly, methodically and stealthily killing creepy masked men by stabbing them in the throat rings no bells? Are you kidding? Even in TLOU, Joel would only choke hold them out. That's completely weak sauce vanilla stain compared to this.
Ehh, in that sense I guess I see it. I was speaking more on the atmosphere of the game, and the violence in particular. Manhunt is incredibly cold and has a bluntness about it that the gun and weapon combat in The Last of Us reminded me of. The Evil Within really isn't like that, it's a lot more gamey.

I can confirm that upgrading your clip and/or ammo stock will increase the amount of ammo you get in the wild.
Totally disagree but I'm not gonna debate.
*Manhunt did the donut holed headshot before TEW also =P

Another poster mentioned this and I asked if anyone else could confirm. Most I've found on rank 3 capacity is maybe 6-7 rounds, it's typically 1-3. 20 is insane and actually sounds like it could break/ruin the flow of the game.
Is this only for rank 5 capacity?
What the fuck?
The Evil Within just feels very traditionally Japanese to me. It's hard to explain, but it doesn't have that cold, detached feeling to it. Manhunt is super, super brutal, like snuff film status. The Evil Within is a monster movie.
I'm pretty sure it is. There seemed to be a pretty large jump in the amount of pistol ammo I got betwen level 2 and 3 in storage.I noticed this, too. Once I I could hold 50 pistol rounds, they were dropping in stacks of 5-10+, rather than 2-5.
I thought it was just the natural progression through the chapters that was doing it, but you're right, it could certainly just be tied to your max capacity.
