This is looking even better than I expected. The jokes, the battles, the classes, everything is flawless.

The battles and menus look pretty terrible. But it really is genuinely funny. Being funny is the hard part, so it's weird they'd drop the ball on the rest.

This looks sooooo good. What's the chance of this coming to the PS4 & X1? I'm probably going to wait for that but I don't know how long I'll be able to resist.

Battles look fun, and remember this is the most basic it will ever be so you imagine later on with more difficult enemies/bosses and more complex battle system. Definitely agree that the menus look dreadful. Whoever designed that should get a stern talking to

didn't cartman pick up the stick at the end of those episodes, effectively setting up the game

That and the closing shot of the episode is an advertisement:

whats looks so bad about the battles? looks just like paper mario to me

Just looks very basic and boring to play through. The icon for blocking looked cheap and weird.

Like I said, it's just strange because they nailed the look of the show so well, and the humor is definitely there. But just basic menus and battling look disappointing to me.

It'll probably be fun, but if the actual gameplay part isn't really that compelling, I think I might end up wishing it was just more episodes in the end. We'll see.

Trying so hard not to quote Lighting avatar right now.

Not like it's even relevant here, but the battle system in LR is quite a bit more impressive than this, so I don't see your point. The menus are better too, and don't look like a cheap flash game.

It looks ok, basic but with a lot of little things that encourage adjustment and variation.

The UI, yeah, I dunno. I think every SP game has had awful goddamn UIs, but the game at least looks to be both actually competent as a game and representative of the show's charm.

In Obsidian we trust!!! I am huge fan of South Park and it seems that they have managed to capture all the magic and humor of the series, it helped a lot that Parker and Stone were involved...

One question, is this game supposed to be Steamworks? I know it doesn't use Uplay but will the retail version activate on Steam?

Yes, it's Steamworks through and through.

The menus do look like a flash/browser game but I believe that's the intention, it's supposed to recreate the feeling of a social network website.

Everything else looks just amazing. The battle system looks just fine to me, I'm sure it's gonna be fun, especially once new powers and tougher enemies are unlocked.

Wow, you are REALLY hard to impress when it comes to rpgs. You were in the X thread complaining about that game too. Please tell me, what in your opinion has been an amazing rpg in recent years? Please don't say Ni No Kuni. That game was boring as hell.

So many jokes just in this small bit. This game looks great.

Jew class is great but I also chuckled at Cartman never having seen a white thief before.

How about we just don't derail this with pointless interrogations.

I apologize for not complimenting this as the perfect incarnation of RPGs with no flaws whatsoever.

You are being shown the first few minutes of a battle system of a 10+ hour game made by one of the teams in the biz, there's already some dept shown with the different stances and attacks methods. The menus are consistent with the show because its meant to emulate Facebook, which is why the new kid got a "Friend Request" from Butters instead of "CHARACTER ADDED TO JOURNAL", "cheap flash game" is bullshit.

I couldn't resist watching... damn, it looks unbelievably good.

The battles in this video were quite simple, kind of what you would expect from the first 10 minutes. In a previous video, there was gameplay shown during the middle of the game and it was a lot more involved. I think it's going to be a lot of fun to play.

Good point. I was just in that other thread yesterday when you were complaining about it and then I saw you in here doing the same thing. No worries. I'm sure I'll enjoy both games.
