Game got a PSN sale and i finally bit the bullet on PS4.

I love it, it's all i wanted from a remake, but there are two major issues atm that really, REALLY grind my gears:

1. Holy shit the camera movement is crap. Only option is to change the sensitivity, no option to fine tune so i end up old shool stopping behind a corner, positioning my crosshair, jump out to shoot and cover again. It's hard for me to shoot a target while moving, nigh impossible.

2. Grenade hotkey bug. Either ewuip a grenade and throw it with the right trigger or wait for the grenade launcher. The R1 hotkey makes you throw at a 45° left angle and with a force of an avid soy consoomer. Totally useless.

It looks great, runs fairly stable, sounds fantastic and is a shining example on how to (fully) remake a game. But man those two issues atm take some points of the console port.

Grrrreat news. I have it on PC but wouldn't mind a Collector's double dip, have the original too and this is pretty much it with the best kind of updated graphics and few nice QoL. I hope Nightdive do a nice optimization job for PS5 Pro, would be a blast to pop its cherry with this.

Been a while since I gave up on a game I liked so much at first. I bought this on PS5 and holy shit this game gets frustrating.

I'll retry on Easy at some point but I got to the Reactor level and it's just an ass-reaming of shitty design decisions, jank and nonstop respawning enemies. The lack of good audio cues and visual clutter make this game way harder than it should be. I'm constantly getting shot in the back by some respawning turret I didn't even hear.

I got to the cyberspace segment in this level and just uninstalled the game for now. I'd been dying constantly in this stage and this part was a brickwall for me. Maybe it's more enjoyable on Easy because good lord do I love the premise and, well, Prey.

I haven't been this fucking pissed at a game in ages. This cyberspace bullshit mini game ruined an otherwise interesting game for me. The one in Reactor is impossible. It went somehow from "oh this is neat" to some 11/10 impossible nonsense. The rooms are tiny, I never know when I'm hit because there is no real feedback to damage, the green swarming enemies are garbage with a controller and you restart every time and lose health.

I never do this and usually git gud but seriously, fuck this idiotic-ass design and these controls.
