I officially hate the Arcade mode. Haku-men and V-13 are waaaaay too powerful, this is some Seth levels of utter broken computer bullshit. I think V-13 may be WORSE than Seth. "Oh, you missed blocking one sword that came from behind you when blocking swords in front of you? 30 HIT COMBO TO THE FUCKING FACE!"

EDIT: So I'm not just bitching, PS3 patch fixed all my problems with playing online, runs super smooth now! Kudos to Aksys for such a quick patch rollout!

I think Hakuman in Arcade mode is tougher then V-13,all it takes is one mistake and he counters you and ends it with a nasty distortion for mega damage.

Yeah, I found him much more difficult to take down compared to V-13.

The bosses seem hard at first but they also appear to be pretty susceptible to basic patterns once you find them. I just beat the game with Taokaka and was having trouble with V-13 until I found all I had to do was forward+c then her repeatable hcf+a claws over and over and the AI V-13 couldn't handle it. At least on Normal difficulty.

I never had much of a problem with V13 so long as I stayed up in her face. With Hakumen I just kept attacking low because any time I hit high he countered the shit out of me.

I thought the bosses were push overs for the most part. Especially compared to that bitch I-No or Justice from the original Guilty Gear.

Damn you Amazon. I want my game... At least my order status changed from, not yet shipped, to about to be shipped. Like there's any difference between the two.

I remember that! I may play that one of these days while I wait for Amazon to ship BB.

OMG TAGER! :O

QCF+D, Down+C, DP+C! :D

How do I do his forward Dash with D button? I was doing it in game; but I can't do it in practice mode; but I'm not mashing to survive. :p

Nevermind I think I found it. Down+D?

Quick question, i own the TE stick and was wondering if having it set to DPAD or Left Stick makes a huge difference in SFIV? BB?

Posted this in AS thread but its getting no action this time of night.

Cool game so far, but is anyone else getting the really bad video interlacing problems w/ the opening movie (PS3 version)? Doesn't happen anywhere else in the game, so I'm guessing it got "mastered" this way. Very annoying. Otherwise, the video throughout is pristine. Running in 720p.

What the hell is up with DVD quality Blu-Ray bonus disc? I see so much compression artifacts. :lol

Look at the Match Play section.

Is it DVD quality throughout? Or just the Match Play? Blu-ray bonus disc is one of the reasons I'm going PS3...

It's really nothing to write home about. There's video quality issues all around. Honestly though, I'm not seeing anything on this disk I haven't seen from good players on youtube, so it's kind of useless. :|

Honestly, ASW should have gone the extra mile and put a Virtua Fighter / Street Fighter EX style training mode in the game.

Hopefully in the sequel. I learn better by doing, not taking notes.

this game so damn addicting.

Jin/Bang are really fun to play with and I haven't touch online yet, that's tomorrow. :)

So far for me, I almost hate to say it, but I'm liking this more than SF4.

Haku-Men is who I've been using mostly (arcade mode), got OWNED 4X online :lol

YES. Fuck Tager! Lyte's is NASTY.

GGs! I went and did a quick ranked match afterwards and...I lost pretty damn bad. But then I played another Noel and won. That was good. I was able to turn the console off believing I was an awesome player. Fake it til you make it, baby.

I never should have watched the Noel combo video. I have to forget everything it showed me! Or practice more I guess! Maybe I should forget about her and just go all out Carl. I'll probably lose even worse but at least I'll be losing as a pink little boy.

The way they seem to work is really weird. I first went through as Jin and had a breeze, depsite not really knowing many of his moves. But when I went through as Ragna, both of them gave me absolute hell, especially v-13. I'm going to try Arcade on Hell tomorrow, but with Jin, and see what happens.

I'm surprised how much I like the story mode, it's pretty damn awesome. I don't like having to keep mental notes about who on each path I need to LOSE to, but that's only needed for 100% anyway...and that gives a vocal clip that is apparently not translated in english anyway? :lol

Also, is there a stats page? I could have sworn I saw one at some point, but I've been looking and can't find it now.

And one last question, is there some way to do Tager's 720 easier? I'm not too big on playing him anyway, but I can only pull it off if I buffer it in air, but I don't think I need to explain that a slow ass tager's slow as jump is a pretty obvious sign to just backdash away.

Huh? What vocal clip?

Once you 100% a character's story mode, you can hear a clip in the sound portion of the gallery under "Secret Character Voices." They might be good, I don't know, because I don't speak Japanese, and there are no subtitles.

Lyte Edge

All I got for the Vernal Equinox was this stupid tag
PS3 netcode seems to now be on par with the 360 version post-patch! :D

Played some ranked matches and beat down a level 23 Ragna user, ranking my Tager up to level 9, then took out a level 30 Litchi player and jumped to level 12. THE TAGER :lol

I know this won't last, but I'm undefeated on PSN. It's fun trying to keep the streak going!

Any tips on how to play as Rachel versus nonstop ice ride? I can take them down with pretty much any other character, but she's my favorite member of the cast and I can't make much of a dent in them. I can take them down a few times with lobelias, but the onslaught is unending, and none of her normals can beat it. Really ridiculous to try and set up frogs or pumpkins while DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE

The art gallery unlocks so far are.. uh, interesting. I've only played a little of Tao's story mode, but..
Tao showin' us the goods under her jacket.
:lol Who would've thought.

I'm still getting my butt spanked in ranked matches. Faced off against a pretty crazy Jin player named "PrincessAlice" or something like that, level 12 or so. Yeah, I have much to learn, but I'm still having stupid fun.

I played this so much last night, was in a room over the night with GalacticAE, Tekno, Ferrio, and a couple of my other friends, and it's always "mayyyyyybe just one match"

Probably going to focus on doing some more single player stuff tonight, and then work on using someone else besides Noel so I can do a little changeup :p

Geezer

Broken water pistol loaded with piss
Does the game come sealed separately in the package or is it just one seal for the whole package?
