The Dustborn intro is laughably horrible.

This crap didn't even manage to reach 100 concurrent players.
I bet this studio won't last much longer.

You are partially right, they are the creators of the Longest Journey sequel, Dreamfall i think it was, very boring game in my opinion, i played the original a long time ago, it was a very good game for its time (1998 i think it was the first one) although the ending was dissapointing. Yes, it shows that there are political interests funding and being behind all of this, and still there are people who say that there is no agenda involved in the game industry.

Ah, I see. 1998, getting old over here thought it might have been 2008.

Never heard about that EU programme specifically funding "narrative" gaming and apparently funding up to 70% of budget. What could go wrong?

I hate to ruin this party but the ultimate cringe is to be found on the official page.

"Words can hurt. Use weaponised words (fuelled by disinformation) in combat and conversations, to fight enemies, manipulate strangers, and motivate friends."

"Travel undercover as a folk-punk-rock band, and learn to play a set of original tunes around the campfire…before proving yourself in an epic Battle of the Bands!"

"This is the moment to act. The moment to rise up and stand for something. To protect the weak and speak truth to power. To rebel against the forces that threaten us all.

We are Dustborn. What about you?"

Brought to you by a bunch of middle aged Norwegians.

Probably a hot take, but I'm 100% cool with this game existing. It knew what it wanted to do and it went for it. Not my cup of tea, but there were no shenanigans or seemingly any compromise from the developers about what they wanted to make.

What I wouldn't like is when this type of scene makes its way into Persona or Monster Hunter and shit like that.

But I had to laugh when the NPC in the end of the video dunked on them for being shit.

Yeah that was shit but it seems shit by design. The NPC basically says that performance was dogshit and the one character goes "ehhhhh yeah we're a bit rusty".

Not sure where that X user is getting that fascism comment from.
The trooper (who supports a fascist regime) tells them that people don't want politics in their entertainment. Which means he supports this notion, ergo supporting entertainment not having politics is something only a fascist would say or support.

1. no way to know the trooper supports a fascist regime by the video alone
2. he says the people in this area dont like politics in their entertainment (no guarantee he personally subscribes to this notion)
3. even if we assume the trooper is 100% a fascist, your last point still isnt accurate
4. theyre the dustborn
5. repeat 4 over and over

This is beyond parody, which makes it more scary than funny. I can only hope I live to see the day where all these degenerates are removed from society/social media and put in asylums where they won't be able to corrupt the very impressionable minds of young children, and maybe get the help they need to recover their sanity and become productive members of society.

1. If he didn't support the regime, he wouldn't enlist to its service.

2. Even if he doesn't, the people whom he refers to are the people the dustborn threaten in their song (your time has come and gone, you don't matter anymore, etc.). The game insinuates the people who oppose the views of the song (who the woke label as fascists for not agreeing with them) are the same people who don't want politics in their entertainment, which means they are the same fascists.

3. See 1.

4. I don't give a fuck.

5. See 4.

Yep, this person is clearly in desperate need of psychiatric help. But instead, people like that are championed and free to promote their degeneracy to others and notably young children, whom these degenerates often want to target sexually.

In the case of that dust-born video, there's definitely a threat of violence against those who don't share their views with the line: "Your time is past, your kind won't last". These people are dangerous.

Don't forget some absolutely non-red flag lines like

Our kind is newborn

Nah the TLJ trilogy are goated. Best damn stories in an adventure game. This one is a mess.

Wait, this is a Tornquist game???

Wtf man... from TLJ and Dreamfall to... this?? How depressing.

Funny (read:sad) thing is one of the kickstarter goals for Dreamfall Chapters was getting a TLJ like sequel for April. They didnt make the goal and canceled that plan way back in 2016.
