I wouldn’t say it was dull. United were creating a bunch of chances, just couldn’t quite make anything of them. Zirkzee going off seemed to make a difference since he had been doing a lot of linking up before that and that wasn’t happening as much with him off. Hopefully once he gets back up to speed Hojlund is able to give add that finishing touch that was lacking for most of today. I’d be curious to see the two of them play together. But that would probably mean not playing Bruno. The Man Utd match was dull, thankfully there's a big game tomorrow.... The 115 Vs Arsenal from the Emptihad.
I took Haaland off captain duties for my FPL team, hoping Arsenal turn up to keep him quiet now.
This might be the best nickname for a stadiumthe Emptihad

I also had a feeling Henderson was going to have a great game since it was against United.
Thanks for that, Chris. Can really feel the authentic enthusiasm there.
Rodri being out for the rest of the season is going to be a big blow for City. He's fantastic and is probably their most important player. It's certainly going to help Arsenal's chances, although there's part of me that thinks they will still manage to bottle it and City will win again.Very quiet in here this weekend.
Man Shitty drew their Saudi Derby with Newcastle. Duel in the Desert? Clash of (oil) Clans? Game of Gulfs?
Arsenal were lucky to get a win, 90+4.
The bin dippers are having a pretty easy start to the season and beat Wolves. Cole Palmer and 10 others beat Brighton.
Man Utd coming up in 90 mins against Spurs. Apparently Ugarte is in for Eriksen, Rash & Nacho on the wings with Zirkzee up front, but the leaks could be wrong. Son is out, he was injured playing against CarrierBag. (Or perhaps trying to get out of one).
We're back for another weekend, before yet another International break!

Maybe the best midfielder (alongside Xavi) I've ever seen
Severely underrated during his prime and obviously completely overshadowed by Messi
I am supposed to hate him because he scored against us in the 2010 final, but I could never.
Fair enoughDon't get me wrong, he was a very good midfielder in his prime, alongside Xavi in that Barca midfield about 15yr ago. But he has stiff competition to be considered the best midfielder from the likes of:
- Zidane
- Vieira
- Platini
- Gullit
- Keane
- Scholes
- Cruyff
- Maradona
- Bobby Charlton
- Michael Laudrup
- Modric
(I've left Messi & Ronaldo off as they were more forwards than midfielders).
Oh and...
The English FA had a German telling then what to do from 2015 until the end of last season. That should lessen the shock somewhat.Thomas Tuchel agrees to become next England manager

Opinions?
I'm struggling with this. England and Germany have such a fierce rivalry... And now we're managed by a German...
I know we've had Sven and Fabio but we've not got the same rivalry with their countries. This is going to be interesting.
Wait, we have a soccer thread but not one about actual football?
14OK, I've got a question for the maths nerds (I'm too dumb to work this out myself).
Liverpool's goal difference is 12 and Man Utd's is -2. How many times bigger is Liverpool's goal difference than Man Utd's?
