Because comparing the revenue they make in Nintendo vs Sony (or vs PC) and the percentage of 3rd party sales vs the revenue we can see if the one they make on Switch is big or small and where the main 3rd party business is.Why do you keep making it about Sony vs. Nintendo? At no point in any of the posts in this thread has Celine said third parties make more money on Switch than PS. What he has correctly pointed is out is that there is a high number of third party sales on Switch.
As far as I know we only have the retail only, Japan only sales of the game. Which are not representative of total worldwide physical+digital sales: Japan only represents around 20% of the market, the percent of physical sales are way higher in Switch than in PS and the proportion of Switch vs PS sales in Japan is way skewed to Switch than in the rest of the world.Do you have any examples of this that are day-and-date releases and not extremely late ports? The only recent day-and-date Switch/PlayStation release I can think of that wasn't an indie game is Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D and all indications are that that sold substantially better on the Switch.
It's hard to compare day and date games from big publishers, because they normally release their games in PS and not in Switch (at least day one), and when they do they normally don't share sales.
We can compare instead the revenue make in PS vs Switch from Sony and Nintendo reports each quarter, or platform splits that the 3rd party publishers share sometimes (about their whole company, not only game specific).
