You as well huh, well it's a bit like if it was a compact version of BotW. The world is genuinely interesting to explore and to fulfill the various challenges. It has a nice story, couple characters here and there, tons of collectables, addictive character progression and many biomes with each it's color palette.

One of the thing a sequel could have brought is having multiple interiors including expansive dungeons to explore and conquer.

The game felt so fresh, honestly I loved every second of it. I also liked that there were a lot of - not so easy - puzzles.

even if, BF is the best AC in my opinion, i don't want to see the game is broken with usual remake troubles, such as changes in some (especially if they still using DEI as basis in everything) or buggy mess we usually have these days. thanks, but no thanks, I will play older game, as they are still better than anything I heard today

From VGC:

The game just did not sell well. To move units, Ubisoft had to steeply discount the price to bargain bin.

The truth is that a lot of their IP that people clamor for would either not sell that well (Rayman, BG&E) or would only sell with an AAA investment (AA Prince of Persia sales flop in 2024 ).

They’ve absolutely screwed themselves into a corner by not establishing multiple pillars. Perhaps they should really have taken a stab at bringing back AAA Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia, or going the AAA remake route.

Quality issues have also screwed them. See how Watchdogs was killed by a mediocre last game.
You're definitely right. Now that you bring that to light, they wouldn't have sold as much without discounting the game.

I think I'm guilty as well! Gaming is in such a cruel state right now. Games have never been more expensive yet the developers all wish to make hits that sell millions at full price.

It's inconceivable. It's impossible to consume as much, their expectations are through the roof. I'd like so much the AAA gaming industry to slow the fuck down a bit and come back to a more humble and healthier.. (edit: state. I was looking for the word)

The hobby became stressful and toxic it's unmanageable for many people as we look at our library and almost never finish one single title.

Fenix Rising was wonderful but in typical big publisher braindead takes the game sold decently but didn't make a bazillion dollars so of course they immediately pulled the plug.

Because what good is a game that only does reasonably well? We're in the business to make as much money as possible, you see.
I know, I know..

Edit: which is sad, no? Feels like there's nothing that we love in this world, that has not been corrupted by the greed and money. Even walking in a mountain is controlled and has an entry fee. Anyway 🙃
