? The CG trailer that they made was always advertised as CG. Bungie stated several times before and after it was shown that it was CG.

Unless you are talking about the reveal trailer. That one was in-game with the engine that they had, but they had to scale it back during development.

Most indie devs wouldn't be able to afford the tech that Epic gave to Chair to make SC. They had a significant amount of help, so as good as SC was they were rightlyfully taken out of the indie category. If there's a best downloadable game category SC should win, though.
