Ask me about my wife's perfect butthole
I'm fine with it. I have a feeling Sony isn't going to do PC gaming if they can't tie you to Playstation accounts.
The difference is that TLOUS is first party, right?
I think it's fair that Sony requires a PSN account for their own games.
Analytics baby. That delicious data. What is good reason for it in single player games?
PLAYSTATION account to play on a PC.The difference is that TLOUS is first party, right?

You have to log into activision on cod on console and nobody complains about that. But when I play Space Marine 2 on PS5 I don't have to login to anything. It is optional. That seems to be the norm in most cases on console. I think if more console gamers had to log into other services then they would probably feel the same as PC gamers.

Precisely. This has been an issue on Steam since inception.
Higher obviously. What was that title 12k?make your bets, CCU higher or lower than Indian Jones?
Higher of course with the help of a succesful HBO series vs. an awful Indiana Jones 5.make your bets, CCU higher or lower than Indian Jones?
Which ever one is not on a subscription service.make your bets, CCU higher or lower than Indian Jones?
Lower.make your bets, CCU higher or lower than Indian Jones?
How do you play games from EA, Ubisoft, Microsoft, and so on..? Just curious. Is there something special about logging into PSN compared to all the other publishers?I, and most PC gamers, will definitely NOT be logging into PSN to play.
Not to mention Steam has one of the most draconian DRM schemes and people have no issue with logging into it. I could understand this PSN criticism from people who use only itch or GoG. Steam users have no moral high ground as they are the ones who first acceded to the signing in to play games you own paradigm. You literally cannot play on Steam when it is offline. God forbid you have an unplanned internet outage, the only way to get around this is to put steam in offline mode while you have internet access. How do you play games from EA, Ubisoft, Microsoft, and so on..? Not really optional in some games. I had to log into an Activison account for CoD, a ubi account, had to create a warframe account and of course had to log into an xbox account on a playstation too like hell had frozen over. Didn't care one bit to come and create a thread on it to be honest. But when I play Space Marine 2 on PS5 I don't have to login to anything. It is optional. Helldivers 2 clearly stated "requires account" from the very beginning. The only difference was that when you launched the game they allowed a skip to prevent server load during the rocky launch. It clearly states that it requires a third-party account. So you will buy it knowing that. This isn't a Helldivers 2 situation.
You can play lots of steam games without steam client. Also Sony put their first games even on gog. This wont/cant happen anymore if they tie their games to PSN. Than you have the restricted country rule. There are lots of valid reasons why people are unhappy about this PSN login. Not to mention Steam has one of the most draconian DRM schemes and people have no issue with logging into it. I dont need gamepass to play xbox games on PC.So just as You need GamePass to play Xbox games on your PC...news at eleven...
You do?So just as You need GamePass to play Xbox games on your PC...news at eleven...
So far, Playstation's games have been easily bypassed with simple mods. Games don't seem actually reliant on an internet connection unlike those other games. How do you play games from EA, Ubisoft, Microsoft, and so on..? Just curious. The game is so polarizing it will probably get a large spike due to curiosity. Unlike recent “woke” games about half the people that played TLOUP2 really enjoyed it.make your bets, CCU higher or lower than Indian Jones?
Yup, I've seen nothing but praise for the CoD launcher. /sYou have to log into activision on cod on console and nobody complains about that.
Bro can't read. Talking about cod on console requiring you to log in.Yup, I've seen nothing but praise for the CoD launcher. /s
There isn't a CoD launcher on console? I indeed can't read.Bro can't read. Talking about cod on console requiring you to log in.
Cod launcher on pc is trash.
What is the SDK for?not just login but it installs the PlayStation SDK backend, wonder if it removes it when you uninstall the game?
Good, great move, means when we get the sony Playstation Store on PC my saves will transfer over. Thank you sony. god bless
Not a problem for 99% of the western world, fuck 'em I say.I personally do not care about 'mandatory' PSN linkage - but the biggest problem here is countries which do not allow you to sign up to PSN.
I assume for connecting to PSN for trophies, account etc.A single player game should not have that kind of requirement, this is brain dead and it opens Sony to review bombing.
What is the SDK for?
Do we have a thread for every pc game that comes out that has an extreme log in or launcher? Alot of pc games have these.Pc dudes lost this fight long ago when they allowed blizzard rstar ubi & ea to force make accts to play their games their just old men yellin at the skies now lol
Yeah, I know what it means.PLAYSTATION account to play on a PC.
ONLY GABE CAN HAVE MY MONEY! HE NEEDS IT!I don't want to start console war here, but PC gamers are such babies.
Yes, but with Helldivers 2, the PSN account linking requirement was enforced later. This time, the requirement is clear from the start. Additionally, this is a first-party Sony game, so this is expected, whereas Helldivers 1 was by an independent studio.Helldivers 2 clearly stated "requires account" from the very beginning. The only difference was that when you launched the game they allowed a skip to prevent server load during the rocky launch.
