Yeah, it could get wild the next couple years. These people have spent the last decade injecting themselves into games and they've had to literally bend/warp reality to justify their existence, and their paychecks. They offer literally no value to society and are getting paid to do it but the free ride is about to be over. Yeah, they ain't just going to politely accept reality when it hits but thank God this nonsense is finally on its way out.

I think they made a grave strategic error when they said things like "you are LITERALLY HITLER if you don't use my pronouns schmee/schmoo!" because now they have no more room to insult. Once you have played the Hitler card that's about the end of the line.

But the Overton window has shifted. At this point if I see a normal guy in a business suit kissing his husband and two average looking kids good bye I just look right past it when a few years ago it would have maybe gotten an eye roll. But now it's "phew, just a regular gay couple and not some sort of clown world thing, let's get back to the heist/kidnapping/alien invasion". So i think a lot of the LGB part is pretty satisfied and it's really the TQRS+-+ miniscule minority that will get shushed from within.

I see what you are saying about cycles, back and forth over time like a pendulum. But a pendulum has to be balanced (at least in my metaphor!) For it to go back and forth with any regularity/predictable rhythm.

I think it's totally unbalanced on one side because SBI and the rest of the woke mind virus suffers are trying to force societal changes unnaturally, due to activism/their ideology.

I reckon that will always have more push back once discovered and lately the normies are waking up to the cancer in the gaming industry and Hollywood.

I don't think it will be soon forgot and will galvanise our much larger side. Most of us rightly recognise what's happening and don't want people who are actively trying to destroy the industry/olmy favourite hobby. SBI have said this openly. Their agenda, their ideology and we can see their methods.

I feel the pendulum is heavily weighted on our side because of all the above. So if it ever swings back to them having control/their side winning this culture war, it will require nefarious actions on their part. Lies, hiding in the shadows etc. They can't win on merit alone. Their games are shit.

They won't give up what control they have lightly, they will be forced to continue to be disingenuous and fight dirty.

We just need to keep showing people their nasty tactics, because they are forced to fight that way. They don't have the masses on their side and their track record speaks volumes. Failure after failure.

It's all artificially created, their power and current place in the industry. Even nexus mods have to ban mods taking out pride flags in spider man, or remove pronouns from starfield.

The free market cannot be free to decide for themselves, because they choose the bigoted options, according to the woke ones. We can't be free to choose because we choose wrong. So we as a whole are artificially pushed into viewing the world their way...or so they hope. It's failing massively.

I can't see a scenario in which the masses adopt their nonsense willingly now we are aware of their goals and their negative effects in the gaming space.

I really think the woke topic is exaggerated for this game outside of SBI touching it.

The game just looks like an average, dated game featuring a more Indian lead and setting. I'm completely fine with that and would like to see more of it (Japan as a settting can take a long break), there's nothing woke about it. It's just when SBI are involved, that's where I feel the conversation steers extremely. Warranted, to some degree, but too extreme.
