What are you asking for or buying for yourself Christmas gaming edition?

I might pick up the new Indy game to play over xmas but it depends on user reviews, after seeing that weirdo modern audience clown on the first preview made me skeptical to say the least.

No idea. I generally buy everything I want throughout the year as and when I decide I want it. It makes Christmas difficult, you end up really stretching your brain to think of stuff you probably don’t really want that much or need. Those new Sonos sound bars perhaps 🤷

- Bought a Secret labs Titan Evo Black3 in softweave.
- Renewed my PS plus
- Bought WH: Darktide
- Going to buy Silent hill 2
- Going to buy Lies of P or Lords of the fallen

Now, since I've only got 3 games on physical discs (CP2077, Armored core 6 and Nier Replicant), I will sell them and get the digital versions from PSN since I just can't anymore with the whole PS5 drive add-on scalper circus, ain't nobody got the time for that shit anymore, I value my sanity and my time more than any potential "gains" nowadays.
It is what it is but still, fuck Sony.

I buy a bunch of crap every year around Black Friday. That covers 80% of my gaming related spend for the year.

I also had $400 in gamestop gift cards that I decided to use so I picked up a bunch of stuff from them.

I've got about half a dozen games I want to grab next year. But now it's all about saving for a new OLED TV and Switch 2.

Got a PSVR2. Couldn't resist at that price. Funny thing is I just sold my PSVR1 because I didn't use it much. Lol

$600 was way too much despite understanding why it was that much. $350 was not bad and cheaper than my PSVR1. I got that for $399 with $60 for the camera and $99 for two moves.

  • PS5 Pro 30th bundle (+drive)
  • PS Portal
  • 12 Months PS+ Premium
  • Silent Hill 2
  • Metaphor: ReFantazio
  • Master Detective Archives: Rain Code+
  • The Quarry
  • 48" B4 *for the desk for PS5/PC gaming on a larger screen.
I'm trying to get used to the larger screen for PC gaming but so far, I wish I had gone 42" or 55" (for split 4 windows). I also went with the B4 over the C4 because ratings pointed out the B4 is brighter than the C4 in game optimizer mode and it saved me a few hundred bucks.

I have already spent too much on myself so I am done with gaming related purchases. Now it is on to things like crochet kits, purses, make up and clothes.

edit - I did end up picking up a couple of Quest games. Wall Town Wonders and Ultimate Swing Golf. Now I am done with gaming stuff. For real this time.

edit edit - also forgot I ordered a G29 racing wheel. I am banning myself from slickdeals until 2025. 😜

Nothing, lol.

The next gaming related thing I buy is a couple of months of gamefly in February.

I have not used Gamefly in years. I kind of left when they introduced their gamelock system and I could no longer work the queue to my advantage. I can't remember what it was about gamelock I did not like (maybe they charged more for it at the time?).

How is Gamefly these days? Is gamelock an extra cost or is it part of the membership? I am considering jumping back in for a bit to see how things shake out. The one thing I like about Gamefly is you can select games from all of the consoles.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

You can gamelock 1 game for the 'standard' plan or 2 for the 'elite' plan, I usually wait till a few games pile up then get a 3 month gift card, it's a lot cheaper than paying 3 months of regular fee.

And in my opinion, they have gotten much better over the last year or two. I was getting games shipped and delivered in 2~3 days in my last session with them.

Maybe proximity to one of their two warehouses plays a big part in it.

I just did most during Black Friday and the weeks before.
Main thing for me is a nice 75" Bravia7. My new apartment has no walls fitting for my old projector and my El cheapo chinese tv simpy was not large and good enough.
I also got 3 games for the Playstation, SpaceMarines2, Avatar and Robocop

I doubt I will get anything else for Christmas

When they become available, I will get myself Mature and Vice in The King of Fighters XV, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O., and the next Tekken 8 stage and character (already paid for). As for the rest, I am going to heed Agent Cooper's advice:

They also have a deal that I just took advantage of. Buy 12 months and get 3 free. Says it is for existing members only but you can sign up with a trial and still get the deal, it seems.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
I'm happy and quite set up gaming wise, so all I'll be asking for is no more hunger anywhere, peace in the world, a blowjob and some weed.

Razor blades to go with my new Merkur Futur set.
I have Derby Extras, Astra Superior Platinums and some Amazon brand ones so far.
Maybe some socks and PS+.

I got a new desk. And a shed load of parts for a small form factor build but most of that was free so I only had to chip in for a few parts.

Maybe a PS5 Pro but it remains a luxury. Not necessary at all.

My PS5 slim is fine.

I just bought STALKER 2 so you could call it an early Xmas gift 🎅☃️

A Nintendo Wii, with a bunch of "home brew" "Nintendon't" games already installed on it, plus it is compatible with the Gamecube, my first Nintendo console since ironically the Gamecube itself...but I am only getting it because it gives me a chance to go back to the Cube catalogue, some great games on there you can't get today: Wave Race, F-Zero Starfox's adventure (forgotten the name it came out in 2002 I think) James Bond games from that time...and may others which I had skipped..

If the PS5 PRO covers come out in December, I'll buy two dualsense's and matching covers. Probably Cobait Blue or Chroma Indigo.

I'm done with most of my gaming purchases for the year, but I guess I'll make maybe 3-4 more before Xmas rolls in.

I'm going to double dip on the Complete Edition of The Witcher 3 for PS5, import this Vanillaware art book from Japan, pre-order this visual novel for the Switch, and also snag Slitterhead. Oh, and maybe Space Marine 2 if I find a good deal around Christmas.

Where are you getting that vanillaware art book? I love that studio and their fantasy art style. We have nothing like that in the west.

I want a pair of HD 800S and maybe Stalker 2 what about you GAF?
Got a pair of BOSE Ultra noise canceling headphones, plus some games of course.

And some power tools, expending on my existing Milwaukee system. Needed couple of saws for new projects.

Been really eyeing 3D printers but I am a super noob at those.

I bought my daughter a Quest 3 for Christmas, but I'll definitely be trying it out myself. I've been wanting to play that RE4 VR on there for years now, so I'm pumped for that, and that new Batman looks great as well.

Just bought a handful of Warhammer books. With probably order space marine soon too. Might grab some more hunting knives and gear.

No, I don't think so. It's the same build that was printed on the original 2022 disc release for PS5 and XSX. It's in an decent shape even without the patches and especially on the PS5 Pro as the fps in both modes should be locked.

Oh, and I ended up buying it yesterday while grocery shopping since I was passing by the gaming aisle and saw a bunch of copies on the shelf, lol.

Unfortunately, there's no English version of this Vanillaware art book, so I'll be getting the original Japanese release from Amazon JP.

It's heavy on illustrations and concept art, so even if you don't know Japanese, you can still enjoy it, especially if you're a big Vanillaware fan who has played most or all of their games.

Here's the art book description:
Masterpieces created by Vanillaware, the gem art is gathered here!

Since its establishment in 2002, Vanillaware has released numerous masterpieces to the world. This is a must-have art book for fans to enjoy the history of more than 20 years. From all the titles developed by the company so far, we will deliver carefully selected art gems that are delicate, warm and beautiful. In addition, there are reading plans such as comments from the company's staff, including Mr. Moriharu Kamiya, and an interview with Basiscape, who handles sound!

Recording titles (in order of release year)
● Grim Grimoire
● Odin Sphere
● Kumatanchi
● Oboro Muramasa
● Gran Knights History
● Dragon's Crown
● Odin Sphere Leifthrasir
● Dragon's Crown Pro
● Thirteenth Sentinels Defense Zone
● Grim Grimoire OnceMore

My missies has got me the N64 Switch controller. That’s all for me. I’ve thought about getting Echoes of Wisdom but it can wait until next year at some point when there’s a dry spell.

Don't really do asking for stuff at xmas if there's something i want i just buy it. Most of the stuff i want i have already paid for although some them do get released in december so maybe classed as a present to myself, the closest to xmas is the taito egret mini II 3rd expansion that i'm eagerly awaiting so i can upgrade my unit. Wont get it till after xmas though as there's no way i'm trying to get it shipped outside japan on december 17th i'll wait till new year has passed and everything goes back to normal than have it potentially stuck/lost in the xmas post.

Apart from a shitload of switch games coming that's pretty much it although i keep eyeing up this astroboy plamo kit as it's a beauty however it weighs 5KG so shipping will be brutal but it does look amazing.
