Would you purchase the Master Chief Collection on the Switch 2 if it was a day one release?

Would you?

I don't own a steam deck or any of its variants, and just recently sold my Pokémon edition switch to put towards the Switch 2's more than likely $400 or so price.
With Microsoft maybe a couple years away from a handheld, and the news of Halo coming to the PS5 and Switch (probably 2 only), I would definitely rebuy the MCC if it were in the $29 or lower range.
Microsoft will make a boatload of dough selling Halo to a new audience obviously, but if they try and put a $59 price on it just because its a day one release, they are nuts.....
Playing the campaigns on a long flight is right up my alley though

Would you purchase and if so, at what price?

Already own all those games on OG Xbox/360, but I'd absolutely buy Halo 5 or Infinite if they came to Switch 2 as I never owned an Xbone/Series

Damn right I would. Portable Halo would be incredible. Plus, the Switch Pro controller is so much better than the PS5 controller for gyro controls (and also just in general), and I wish I could use gyro aim in Halo. (Just for micro movements.)

I would buy it just for the multi-player aspects of those games. Would be great for whenever friends are over

For real. Plus, I travel a lot, and I have one of those tiny mobile Switch docks that I bring everywhere. So I’m always doing little pop-up gaming setups wherever I am with whoever’s around. Shit, I’ll commandeer a TV at a bar or hotel lobby if they’ll let me, and put Mario Kart, Smash Bros, or Jackbox on there for random people to play.

Halo would be an excellent addition.

A game all about online on Nintendo servers? In a game already infamous for it's original bad servers?

No, I don't hate myself.

Right now I'm looking for portable monitors to get for my Switch. Do you have any recommendations?

Yes, but not day one unless the launch lineup is especially sparse. I would probably wishlist it and pick it up on sale, which is basically what I have been doing with nearly every game for the past few years since my Switch backlog has become unmanageable.

I haven’t bought a portable monitor in a long time, so I know the tech is much better and cheaper now. I’d probably just get a 15” 1080p with HDMI in. Something like this seems super reasonable:

The thing I don’t know is what the best way to hook up a switch to it would be, cause all of the portable docks require an AC adapter. Here’s the dock I have, which works great. It’s basically just a cable, but you still need to plug the USB-C wall adapter into it (though I just use my MacBook charger) https://a.co/d/asVEtzf

I’m gonna look around to see if there are any portable monitors that also double as Switch docks. That would be awesome, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it exists.

Not sure. Played these games so so much. Still love them but without mods, I get bored pretty quick nowadays. But when it's on sale and the multiplayer has good (non sweaty) population, I might pull the trigger.

i don't think so, If you said PS5 maybe. It would have to launch in a good state unlike the original launch.
Haing siad that, it would depend on how thw Switch 2 version looked and preformed.
