Hah, the author is a nice touch.

That's also quite a well made gif.

Edit: The "VS" instead of "V" bugs me though.

That's how Ant Man was for me just completely delightful: not epic or raising the stakes to the nth degree but just fine.

I don't think anything can truly kill the Marvel Juggernaut aside from hiring Joel Shumacher.

Hey. Joel is a great director. He give me Falling Down and 8mm.

The wrong for that kind of movie? maybe, but he also delivered what WB asked. You want a kid friendly movie with lots of camp for merchandise sake? You got it!

WELL THAT CERTAINLY WAS A MOVIE

It just went up to 31% and I decided to make some math, assuming the movie only gets fresh reviews from now on (unlikely) and it caps at around 290 reviews(very likely), the best it can get is 41%, so even if there's a 1% chance this movie can go back to the glory RT days we have to take them as an absolute

In other words, GET HYPE, 41% ALL THE WAY!!!

Lmao wow. Fucking Deadpool

I'll be the judge of that. MC and RT both have user ratings over 70%

There have been plenty of movies I liked more than the critics rated them.

Tomorrow I'll let y'all know if I think it sucks lol not that my opinion even fucking matters (just like the critics to me)

I wish they'd pay Nolan 50 million dollars or something to come back. I think lack of Nolan (and his co-writer brother) was the primary reason this movie failed.

Chris Terrio failed and failed hard. I feel like Snyder is hit or miss. He sometimes makes very entertaining movies and sometimes makes a pile of crap. This movie also felt WAY over-produced by Warner Brothers because they probably don't trust Snyder completely like they trusted Nolan completely. I mean right before (actually interrupting) the climax with Aquaman and Cyborg took me out of it. I blame the Warner execs for stuffing that in.

Snyder: We Don't need Him!

Nolan is kinda overrated.

Also Blame Goyer not Terrio for this mess.

So guys... yeah, I've seen it. What a massive disappointment. From the other thread;

Well here it goes...

I find BvS a very, very messy movie. Scenes and cut-outs happen way to fast and it makes the pacing of the movie bug out enormously. As usual Snyder tries to stuff a lot of content in the movie, but eveything doesn't receive the time to shine if you understand what I mean.

Still, I liked several aspects; first up, Batfleck is awesome. He has the look, the suit and he feels like Batman. Jeremy Irons assists as a great Alfred and I find him funny. The movie is (in regards to special effects) pretty to look at, has some great action scenes which gave me a The Dark Knight Returns vibe and I did enjoy the OST.

But... the good doesn't outweigh the bad. Not by a long shot. I'll put this in spoilers:

- While I did enjoy Batfleck, the material he has to work with is horrible. And my god, he looked angry all of the time. I feel like Snyder was asking him for a constant angry eyefuck face all the time. Kind of bugged me. Wayne is a pretty serious guy, but this was a bit overboard.

- Plus...what the hell at Batman killing bad guys in the car chase and branding them with a Batmark? Now Batman has always been on edge, but this just isn't my idea of how the character should be portrayed. Especially the branding felt extremely out of place.

- Superman was a nonfactor in this movie. Boring, very little emotion... he wasn't very interesting.

- Talking about non-factors... Eisenberg in his rol as Luthor totally flopped. Terrible choice and he came across as the crazy kid on the schoolyard trying to act like an adult. Luthor should be more menacing, using power! But no, he tried to give his Lex a Ledger-like flavour which doesn't work at all.

- Supporting cast was poor. Especially Lois. Didn't add anything.

- Dream sequences felt out of place. Especially the Desert Batman thing. Don't know what they were trying to do there.

- The Justice League thing was shoehorned in and felt out of place.

- Talking about shoehorned in... Gal Godot appearing as Wonder Woman was cool, but her introduction feels botched. Take in mind, I'm in the Netherlands which has no comic culture, but half of the audience in my theater were asking "wait who is the woman? She is the party girl which Bruce encountered and she's a hero, but who is she?" Poor introduction for non-knowledgable folks Snyder.

- Doomsday, lol. That was pretty lame.

- Ending felt empty bcause we all know that Clark is still alive.

Yeah, this movie has problems man. Felt really disappointed.

4.5 out 10 for me

I do want to see a Batfleck with a decent script and a different director. That could be awesome.

Add in Iron Man 3 is great about 4 times and then you've got it

I read somewhere that 3D is a bad choice for this one. Too dark

Whoops, sorry!

Nope, fate spoke for me and sold out the showing. It's literally 20 paces from my front door to the theater so it's no big deal, I can go see it tomorrow in non-3D.

I can't think of the last time I saw a movie sell out at that theater (it has a terrible reputation for parking) so opening weekend is likely going to be pretty big numbers.

Ok but most of the user ratings on both MC and RT are people who haven't even seen the movie but rated it 10/10.

Also, the only difference between a "critic" and you is that a critic gets paid to do this. Movie critics aren't aliens who don't understand human entertainment. They're people like you and me who like, love, and hate movies. I 100% guarantee you that there are two, three, maybe even half a dozen critics out there who have the same taste in movies as you and write reviews that appeal to your sensibilities. And they're not the bad guys. They're trying to inform you whether or not you're going to get your time and money's worth.

"The critics" aren't some monolithic entity who have decreed that Batman vs Superman is 29% of a perfect movie. It's a collection of hundreds of individuals, some who loved it, some who hated it, and many, many who thought it was "meh."

financially, but it was a fun movie. I think Cavill well be fine. I didn't think he was bad. In fact, any of the actors were bad. Didn't have a problem with Eisenberg either, but what the fuck was Luthor's motivation in this movie?

Not sure. First, seemed to just want the kryptonite for superman, then
when bats stole it, he kind of flipped his lid and wanted bats dead. I'm still trying to figure out how he knew who supes and bats were in RL. He obviously knew before the gala.

I'm gonna need Lionel to sum up this thread for me soon.

Nothing to summarize, really. A highly anticipated movie turned out to suck. There was some anger, some sadness, some gleeful schadenfreude. Some fun was had with title changes and gifs and whatnot. The end.

Much like Batman v Superman, a lot of noise and very little substance.

I didn't do shit! I even tried to prepare everyone!

Also all this shit about the reviews make me want to go watch it again
You tried but you didn't succeed!

You have failed this forum!

Hey now, this thread has a lot of substance. It's just not meant for the mods.

I just got back from this.

I'm going to the bar, order two shots of bourbon (on the rocks)

Then I'm going home, and fire up my computer.

and I will reign down HELLFIRE

Nah b I need more than that

We've legit gone through the five stages of grief at this point

You tried but you didn't succeed!

You have failed this forum!

My impressions came during the first stage of grief!

NumberTwo

Paper or plastic?
There are moments in this film where I feel like it hated me. Like, specific bits of dialogue spoken by actual characters in the movie telling me to fuck off regarding classic interpretation of a certain character. Some of you might know what I am referring to.
