56CUs @ 1.85Ghz would net you near the 13.3TF and would be closer to the "acceptable" curve power-wise
we need some of these people verified they playing with our emotions lolTommy has said 52CUs @2GHz before. The problem is 2 GHz seems highly unlikely for Navi full stop but especially in a console form factor unless 90db fans are accepted. Bare in mind the console will be running the GPU and CPU at full clocks while playing games. Unless something amazing is pulled out of their hats I'm holding back believing it. For now....
Judging by this thread, the fans (of both factions) are loud enough already. 90dB would be an improvement. The problem is 2 GHz seems highly unlikely for Navi full stop but especially in a console form factor unless 90db fans are accepted.

I'm not so sure how this is difficult to understand, they basically saying plan to beat PS5 in both price (Lockhart) and power (Series X). It doesn't means that they are going to do it with one console like you're implying.in this case yes, but ps5 vs xsx it contradicts unless ms got edge in power and price which i highly doubt they could do both.
Regardless of the more powerful system, it's good to see gaming companies take the piss out of each other. Sega used to troll Nintendo. Was it "Sony do what Ninten-dont"?
Sony trolling MS over how to share a PS4 game. So seeing MS photo bomb Sony is kinda cool.
So many insiders... So little info.
It's still more or less saying the same thing, although in this case it's saying that they will offer both reasonable price and power. So you are right, it leaves even less room for people to misinterpret it (kinda like I did lol). You’re getting the language wrong here too thoughReindeer . Phil Spencer said they wouldn’t be out of position on price and power. Not that they wouldn’t be beat on price and power. There is a huge difference between what he said and what people are assuming.
i'm not implying anything i know what you're saying i mentioned that they couldn't do that just with xsx.I'm not so sure how this is difficult to understand, they basically saying plan to beat PS5 in both price (Lockhart) and power (Series X). What ? cmon man. It’s fake. Naughty Dog haven’t even got TLOU2 out the door yet and Square are too busy on the FF7 remaster.
When you know it's fake, what's holding you back ?Tommy has said 52CUs @2GHz before. Yeah, that's why they want to launch two consoles. Microsoft kinda has to do this because of Sony being such a dominant force and being able to outsell Xbox easily at the same price.i'm not implying anything i know what you're saying i mentioned that they couldn't do that just with xsx.
Is your PS4 broken, by any chance? Mine has no problem maxing out my SSD. You have to keep in mind your hdd is limited to like 50mb/s write speed.I had a really, REALLY good laugh at the "blazing fast downloads", LMFAO. On XBL, Steam, Origin, GoG, UPlay, sure, but not on PSN, ni console won't change shit as long as their infrastructure/protocols remains as it is.
The part about the SSD causing a $100 increase was nutty. The patent hints at it being a cheaper alternative to what's on the market, not a doubling in price. This gets my vote
Pretty much
My thoughts exactly. Tims over the top reaction pretty much makes it a lock to be a prank.
When you know it's fake, what's holding you back ?
Is it possible that the price allegedly increased that much because Sony not just wants to put a SSD in the PS5, but one with extremely high capacity? The part about the SSD causing a $100 increase was nutty. Plus tons of titles on GamePass.
i think ms will introduce it later after ps5 price, spec reveal and only if they're in disadvantage in pricing compared to ps5 if not or, same price as ps5, lockhart would be canceled? if that's the case i think this scenario suggest that xsx will be over 500$ with no loss per console and ps5 499$ with around 60$ loss per console. that's basically bailout case for ms to not lose in pricing.Yeah, that's why they want to launch two consoles. 56CU's @ 2Ghz is fake, i'm pretty sure 2Ghz was a stress test, expect clocks to be in 1850Mhz area (i'm not confirming 56CU's).I don't know its fake. I'm not an insider. 2GHz seems unlikely based on what I've read but until specs are confirmed I will hold fire. My arse is killing so Sony better hurry up.
Nice way to take things out of context lol, I was taking about upcoming Xbox games and my comment had nothing to do with PS.Plus tons of games on PS Now. It's not nice to left out PS Now, isn't it?
Like a 2Tb, sure. But they've already put out the messaging that modular game installs would alleviate the issue of huge install sizes. Is it possible that the price allegedly increased that much because Sony not just wants to put a SSD in the PS5, but one with extremely high capacity?
idk if this has been posted already but never the less here it is:
If this is true then this will be a major game changer. So developers in theory can work, debug, playtest their games on the same machine. I really hope this turns out to be true.
postscript :This would be a genuinely genius move from microsoft assuming they can make it secure enoguh for both versions of the OS to run.
Anyone here remember that ps3 linux fiasco?
If ReRam is used as cache for the SSD, I can see it costing 100$.Is your PS4 broken, by any chance? Mine has no problem maxing out my SSD. You have to keep in mind your hdd is limited to like 50mb/s write speed.

Same goes for the Bluepoint tweet. It ha nothing to do with ps5 or xsx tflops. There was a thread where someone asked them to throw them a bone and just to "show us a black screen, with a title, anything". That's exactly what they did.
Nice way to take things out of context lol, I was taking about upcoming Xbox games and my comment had nothing to do with PS.
No lol. My comment was a reply to someone who quoted upcoming PS4 games and asked what Xbox games are coming out this year. My comment was about upcoming Xbox games. You compared directly Xbone lineup in 2020 to PS4 lineup in 2020. Comparison would be OK if you didn't mentioned Game Pass for list wars in same sentence, but you left out PS Now.
I see -
-Github leaks heavily tied to PlayStation
-Alfred Panini saying over and over that he expects a 399 PS5
-Xbox showing their console at the game awards in front of the Sony bigwigs, not afraid to start throwing around terms like ‘fastest’ and ‘most powerful Xbox console they've ever made’.
-Also show the chip shortly after, more bragging
Given the above I’m struggling to see the PS5 turn out to be the better hardware overall, it would be some odd flexing from Microsoft. But stranger things have happened!

What ? cmon man.
1) So ? technically it's valid.Remember how Microsoft first talked about Series X as the most powerful console and then changed it to the most powerful Xbox? Do you guys think Microsoft were initially basing this on the 9 tflop PS5 and then maybe this GPU was upgraded and Microsoft changes their slogan? Anyone?
The last of us 2 is already done.It seems incredibly unlikely they’d have time to work on other projects. Often around now you get concepts for the next project kicked about but no where near even a CGI trailer. That takes time and manpower.
Like a 2Tb, sure. But they've already put out the messaging that modular game installs would alleviate the issue of huge install sizes.
If a large storage size is on the table, then a smaller one would have to be there along side it, IMO. That extra 1Tb for $100 would give them a nice profit while a cheaper 1Tb sku would bring in those hesitant to spend the extra money.
The last of us 2 is already done.
FF7 is already done.
in performance 12Tflop console will outperform 2080TI.The Good Old Gamer on YouTube (PC enthusiast) says a 12 tflop Xbox should be slightly ahead of 2080 Super and 10% behind 2080TI, that's without taking into account optimisation and VRS.
Pretty sure it's bug test phase, i don't remember where i saw an interview where they asked ellie voice actress ( i think) about the release and she said FFFFF for february a long time ago, then on the trailer later it said coming in february then reported to may, i'm guessing they found unexpected bugs or delaying it for a specific reason.Gold?
I’d think they’d be nearing crunch when all hands go on deck.
Haha u r happy . Not pissedIt does line up why do you think im pissed off
Fixed...
If only Tflops actually mattered for gaming performance and not used as marketing spin. We might as well go back to Bit performance but that's why everyone compares FPS performance between graphic cards and not TFlopsin performance 12Tflop console will outperform 2080TI.

Got the Greene light to post this.
Missed opportunity by Microsoft. Would attract a ton of PC gamers.
TrueIf they are PC gamers they are already in their ecosystem which is all that matters to them.

They don't pay them for Xbox Live on PC.
