I think the haters are sometimes more obsessed with this game than the fans. What is it about this that just hits a nerve so much with them?

Nowadays many people tend to shout out their (mostly negative) opinion on upcoming movies/tv shows/games on social media right away.
For example: After ND released the (I think it was the second) TLoU2 trailer with Ellie kissing another girl, many people deemed the game crap, because Neil Druckmann is forcing SJW agenda on them. Playing as a lesbian?! No gamer wants to do that, it'll fail.

Seeing the 80+ positive reviews, the 96 metascore, doesn't fit their narrative. Admitting they were wrong and things like playing a lesbian protagonist doesn't piss of all journalists? No way.
So every good reviews is paid. And do you see those two negative reviews? THOSE are honest, they didn't get any money and are brave enough to tell the truth. Pathetic.

This is worth listening to. As I suspected, Neil and his team deliberately spliced scenes together to throw you off the scent and even changed dialogue. She says you will be surprised at what the game really is. I'm excited!

I remember it was a big thing when the DLC released. 2014 was it? Remember it quite well. The DLC was really well recieved. And as "shocking" as the kiss was, I don't think there was an uproar. But apparently if your going to reveal a character is gay, it can only be brought up once and you must move on to other character traits such as........ such as.....err....well I'm not too sure........but just don't incorporate her sexuality in the future because I accepted it back in 2014 and my acception for it that one time should be enough! So I don't want it rammed down my throat in the future!

It's something that's going to be patched in at (or after) launch. I didn't know about perma death! That sounds interesting.

Surprised to learn they aren’t doing a 9pm Thursday release considering how somewhat resilient the company has been towards ‘Rona’s Rules.

I haven't been in The Bay Area for a few years, but I DO remember a Mom and Pop videogame store in Alameda that was run by an older Chinese couple that often broke street date years ago when I'd go their. I can't remember the name, but it was like the ONLY videogame store in Alameda on Park Street. Oakland has 1 or 2 independent stores too but I never had much luck with them.

Lol. Imagine the outrage if TLOU2 wins goty cus of better representation than Cyberpunk. Other reasons as well are possible, but that reviewer at the end thinks Cyberpunk's got is a "distant dream" now due to representation and not knowing what to expect with it. Also how she believes that narratively it won't be able to match Part 2.

Finally finished replaying original TLOU and I’m all ready for part 2.

Watching the ending again, I’m getting the impression that Ellie wanted to die regardless if the cure would work or not, thats why she told the story about Riley to Joel and said “I’m still waiting for my turn”.

With that being said I still would have done same thing as Joel, no question about it.

Play in easy and slaughter everything. Its what I did in TLOU 1 and it made the game bearable since the gameplay was pretty shit tbh

You can play as you want, use the personalized difficulty mode and put the enemies at max difficulty and more resources during exploration so you can use firearms more often while having some challenge.
Don't play on easy, the first game was alredy a cakewalk even on hard.

It can be played either way but at it's heart, it's a stealth game that's been compared to MGS by some reviewers. I'm a stealth player too and that's exactly why I'm looking forward to it.

Looking forward to this. It’s nice to have nuance in difficulty alongside set levels. I’m wondering if it’s changeable at any point or is set once started. Hopefully the former. I’m reading in some reviews that resources are abundant in normal difficulty (so much so that it makes exploring moot), so I’m immediately tweaking that down on my first play through.

I mean I played on normal mostly. Just because I like to fuck shit up and am not huge on stealth myself - but I still found the gameplay awesome so? I dunno maybe I’m weird
