Okay this had been asked so many times already and yes it sounds like concern trolling but still a valid concern nonetheless...

To date has there been any showing at all what the XSX is really capable of, not BC but actual next gen graphics gameplay (not a pc representative of)?? Isn't it odd that MS have gone into mass production of this console that they have not shown it working to their potential customers but yet expect them to buy it blindly!?!

First party games are off for atleast another year, but there are third party games that are 'supposedly' working on the XSX now they could have shown already. If anything they could have atleast put together a fancy tech demo showing off its 'true' power, giving fans some sort of hype... But no they are selling it just by paper specs and blind faith, now that sure looks like religious dedication by their fanbase!

If I'm wrong, then please somebody link a video for all us to peruse!

we haven't seen any of these third party launch games running on the ps5 either.

These games are all being rushed to meet the holiday deadline. And they have to ship them on seven different consoles. No one has time to demo anything on consoles right now. Everything that has had gameplay has been shown on pc so far.

Cod is literally the only third party game running on the ps5 and we only saw a trailer for it. No gameplay demo so far.

It's called attacking someone when you do it every single time you see them make a post. HIs post history is ridiculous concerning me. Like no other post history before. There are so many times you can call someone out on something (others called me out that day too.. not just him) before it gets to be a complete troll with a personal vindetta. There have been bans for shit like that. Look at the Ban threads. The fact that he thinks nothing will happen to him every time he makes it is his arrogance and will be his downfall.

I dont often post here and mostly just read what gets mentioned..but honestly dude, why is it everytime you show up it seems to derail a well natured conversation by those that actually enjoy posting here? Take your negativity elsewhere. You don't bring anything meaningful here and whats worse just lie like you've been caught before

I would encourage you to look at my first post of the day and my response. You call bashing Xbox fans a "well natured" conversation? I don't like seeing it. This thread constantly gets closed because of it. I came in this thread looking for "on-topic" conversation. I got ridicule instead and then attacked. Ask your Vroadstar Vroadstar to stop derailing with personal attacks. I really do hope the mods can this thread once the consoles come out. It's nothing but a place of console warring.

Some of us actually enjoy this thread and we don't want it to derail. The last time this thread got locked VFXVeteran VFXVeteran and E eastwood333 were participants in the locking of this thread as well as the people who engaged them. I don't think anyone would appreciate that happening again.

You should tell the whole story dude. These thread gets locked because certain Sony guys can't stop attacking me and it gets on the mods nerves. I'm not the instigator here. If I were I would have been spoken to.

In regards to the Ban/Review thread:

You didn't finish posting the entire conversation I had with EviLore EviLore where we both agreed that "personal attacks" should and will be moderated more closely. I can conversate all day long about the PS5/XSX/PC and it's strengths/merits/etc.. but I can't stand the constant dogpiling of Xbox gamers here on this thread specifically and definitely can't stand someone trying to make me look like I'm a menace to society because I have been wrong about judging some things in the past. I'm not perfect and neither is anyone else. Including your favorite source HeisenbergFX4 HeisenbergFX4 . You seem to forgive him very easily.

I'm not sure what you guys call "next-gen patches" but a lot of these games are getting remakes for the PS5. Are you talking about a patch to run the PS4 game with increased resolution and FPS? Or an overall remaster?

Ok, goddamit..back to SPECULATION! I'm almost certain that in the Cerny talk or somewhere else they mentioned the PS5 having an EXPANSION BAY which would mean you could ADD storage instead of just replace. Pretty sure that someone emphasized ADDING.

Any more news or reason to believe this is NOT the case?

I think we'll see at least some sort of UI or hype demo this month although I'm not sure it will contain pricing. We'll see. I'm still firmly in the disk version PS5 costing $499 and the Digital only being $450 or even $399. Maybe $399 as long as you get PS+ for a year? I think MS is REALLY going to try and get to $499 as well. With the lack of first party exclusives for a while I kind of feel they NEED to be there. Might be $599 though as that big APU is going to cost a bit. We'll see.

I don’t know where the conversation of replacing the internal drive comes from but Cerny was very clear in that we will be able to ADD to internal storage. There’s an EXPANSION bay as Cerny put it.

I have a bad feeling both consoles are going to come in around $599 each. I'm not sure if it's a price war since we haven't heard about any prices yet. I'm deeply troubled by both sides though. They both seem to not have a strategy going forward and that could be because the games aren't ready to show. I hope we get some footage of exclusives this month. I know the 3rd party games should start showing previews soon.

I'm pretty sure he said you could expand it. However the drive has to be approved by Sony and it has to be alot faster to compensate for the lack of priority levels.

I head from sources that some of the greater hits of the PS4 were being remastered for PS5/PC. The delay that I heard is because the engines needed to be made multiplat. I don't see any oldies but goodies this year but I could be wrong. At least the graphics will be revised though.

it's my favourite game, i must have finished it twice now, I only brought it at the start of the year as well. What I love is that it gives you the player the responsibility and burden to make choices throughout the main story which effects the narrative heavily and in very nuanced ways, I read somewhere the game has like 36 different endings.

After the last playthrough which was a few months ago I said to myself I'll wait for the PS5 to come out and I'll play the game again on that, I wasn't counting on CDProjektRed giving us a "next-gen patch" with improved graphics, raytracing etc I was only counting on improved load times. I'm so excited!

Maybe the speed could depend on the SSD and how close it comes to the PS5’s own architecture right? I think Cerny called out the priority levels as an example where extra speed would be needed?

That being said with the next gen consoles, I’m hoping that game sizes go down significantly because of reduced duplication of assets. In the Spiderman GDC talk, the presenter had it where the assets were 0.9GB vs. 11GB when duplicated.

Yea, I never finished the main DLC Blood-something. I have GOT to revisit that DLC and run it from start with the new mods.

Same, it’s probably one of my favorite games this generation. I played it on a PS4 Pro and the geometry pop-in ruined some of the experience which I’m hoping can be solved with the next gen patch. I imagine they’ll boost texture quality and uncap the frame rate at the least.
