Nowadays there is very little to difference between hardware of both manufacturers. As long as one console still exists, it doesn't make much difference in the end for gamers.
When consoles are gone and we are limited to streaming , then gaming will be dead to me.

I still have doubts about that because for cloud be mandatory graphics will need to be on pair with high end pcs for people to give up local hardware.

Nothing changes for software developers in either scenario. They’re still making games. But if you’re someone who has a job related to Xbox hardware, I’m sure hearing about hardware was more important than stroking the egos of the Heisenberg007 and Timdog’s of the world.

We’d unbox about 200 a month and get them setup for deployments, and about half of those just would not power on at all. New units factory sealed. MS makes a really pretty product with the surface, but that experience absolutely soured me on the entire line.

I got a free SP6 last year when the hardware recycle guys came by where I worked. Asked them if I could salvage one and they said “we don’t give a fuck” lol. I planned on using it for digital manga, but never actually bothered lol. I got signed in and set it up, but kept forgetting to buy a charger for it so now it sits in a drawer somewhere lol
