Comparing a throttling of basic features with a "tip jar" LOLGotta wonder how many of these complainers commonly throw money at their favourite Twitch or YT personality when they stream, but blow a gasket when a game has a virtual "tips jar" like these mtx?
If the "contraints", were really designed to promote fun and challenge, then they would not have sold workarounds to those "contraints". As an older guy you should atleast see this for what it is. Transparent manipulation of basic features to monetize an already full-priced game. This was not designed around fun and challenge, for fuck's sake.As an older guy can't help but be dismayed by the whole angry "I must be allowed to play my game my way" mentality. It just stinks to me of a self-indulgent world-view where constraints that are intended to promote fun and challenge are instead looked upon as annoying inconveniences or worse.
Jesus, dude. It's a lot more than that. It's a deliberate tactic on the part of a greedy games publisher to further extort money from gamers for services that should be completely free.
I don't understand how anyone can be okay with that kind of deceptive, corrupt shit? It's not just the practical effects, it's the intent.
I now hope this fucking game bombs in every single respect.
Ethical piracy is starting to sound like an actual, believable thing, these days.
eh, not exactly. They're completely optional it seems, same as the other Capcom games like RE and Monster Hunter, just there in case you wanna speed things up
Bit of a non issue and easily ignorable like the Ubisoft ones
A large part of Gaf love to cock stroke japanese devs. The amount of "just ignore it" and "its completely optional" and "stop whining" comments in this thread make me think GAF is being invaded by Capcom's PR personnel.

I can understand its hard. I bought a PSVR2 at launch, and i fucking hate to admit it, but that was a bad purchase decision. Money down the drain...or people who have already dropped 80 bucks on this game and can't bring themselves to admit that was a bad decision. Better to defend than admit to do something dumb, like pre-ordering.

Sorry but did you take the time to READ the article? It's not an issue, you even get a warning stating this.lmao
PSA: Don't use the 'Load from Last Inn Rest' option in Dragon's Dogma 2 unless you want to risk permanently losing progress

You're better off relying on your regular saves most of the time.www.pcgamer.com

you pay $5 and you get 10 teleport crystals
CapconFuck me, Capcom is back to their old Crapcom ways.
Also again it shows that pc players are bitches. They always whine about something.
The game is using these expensive components for something. That’s a good thing. Right?
And mtx is optional. I have 600 steam games and you think I go and cry playing games for which I have not bought every dlc ?! Get real and just ignore this or pay 2$ if you really want it.
Then they will whine that singleplayer games are dead, where is dd3 and games are too expensive at 70€

it is just cosmetic, who cares?
Anyone remember the Asura's Wrath shitshow? Guess they'll never learn.
My man, I'm afraid this take ain't it...Also again it shows that pc players are bitches. They always whine about something.

And they haven't learned shit. That's my point. That was way worse.
Spent mine on Ghost of Tsushima, waiting for that to come out while enjoying Helldivers 2 (Which costs almost literally half of Dragons Dogma 2 in some cases.)Same. Glad i instead spent my money on the excellent PC port of Horizon Forbidden West.
Didn’t expect this from Capcom. Probably the scummiest thing I’ve read about gaming, and that’s saying something.
Tomb Raider Underworld on 360 was the only version with the "true" ending too (2x exclusive DLC).Anyone remember the Asura's Wrath shitshow? Guess they'll never learn.
I swear, this industry is going to end up hating Helldivers 2. Every time some publisher tries to pull a fast one, people are going to point at HD2 and say "These guys get it, why don't you?"Spent mine on Ghost of Tsushima, waiting for that to come out while enjoying Helldivers 2 (Which costs almost literally half of Dragons Dogma 2 in some cases.)

It ain't that bad except for in the cities and then it is in the 30s/40s. That is typically where you are trading, getting quests, etc. Get out into the world and it gets a lot better. So I would say it is "manageable" at this point. Not good. Not bad either though.
Having said all that, it needs some obvious work. DLSS is horrible. It just makes everything blurry and has not impact on performance. Ray tracing doesn't affect performance either. The game is completely CPU limited.
Looks to me like the reason for this is all the background processing. The passage of time will cause an apple in your inventory to go rotten, for example. Or a structure that was damaged will slowly get fixed eventually. Stuff like that isn't obvious, but it is there. That's all cool that they do that, but I'm really not sure it is worth the hit to performance. Really doesn't have a huge impact on the game itself, from an enjoyment standpoint, that I can tell thus far.
Either way, I'm loving this game. Lots of fun.

This thread is basically Tell me you didn't play DD1 without telling me you didn't play DD1.
You couldn't start a new game on DD1 either? This thread is basically Tell me you didn't play DD1 without telling me you didn't play DD1.
