Another one that doesn't read. I'll make it easy for you.

Suarez should be sanctioned for the bite, it's 100% his fault, was a stupid reaction, a childish behaviour and I hope he doesn't play another match in the WC and be sanctioned with at least 10 games.

Got it??? No mitigation of nothing there.

Thank you.

Having said that, I'm absolutely sure that it wasn't a random reaction, AT ALL, I think that if we scrutinize the match, we will find the italian player probably doing little fouls, and speaking a lot to Suarez. Suarez is an immature player, and you can get that kind of reaction from him, so players will want to get that kind of reaction, because it will probably result in an expulsion (didn't happen today, but if the referee saw that, it would have been a sure red card).

Do you get what I'm saying or not??
Speaking of not reading perhaps you should have another look at what I said.

Haribi

Why isn't there a Star Wars RPG? And wouldn't James Bond make for a pretty good FPS?
So since Italy is out, I will need another team to root for and "Not Uruguay" isn't going to cut it. I ask you GAF, who should I root for.

Colombia. They play great Football and will probably kick Uruguay out of the tournament.

Prob soon. For sure before the next game they play.

But I'm not sure of the rules regarding possible appeals.

If a player appeals do they still get to play pending the appeal process completing? So kind of delaying the inevitable and allowing him to play next game? I think they do this in baseball but not clear on situations like this in football.

Not sure. The only case I know of is Torsten Frings getting banned after the quarterfinals 2006. He was banned the next game, but I think Germany didn't appeal. He got caught on TV punching an Argentinian after a weird kerfuffle started after them loosing the penalty shootout.

Back then no appeal was possible.

Go fuck yourself Greece you acting cunts! What a shit ref.

Best dive ever

Holy shit Ivory Coast being robbed

FUCK NOT ON A BAD CALL

AAAARRRRGHHHH

2-1 BITCHESSS

Absolute sucker punch for Ivory Coast.

Disgraceful dive by Greece.

Fuck Greece. That was bs.

Fuck ALL you haters. (Except you Daydreaming, love you!)

Did you watch the same game I did? Greece shoulda won that game 4-1 with all that god damn bad luck they had with the shots hitting the post.

All I've heard on Gaf is hate for Greece, as if defensive play is somehow not valid. Well suck on that. Now live in fear of 1-0 losses to Greece's iron defense.

(But really, am excited for Costa Rica. They've been playing awesome football and it will be an honor for Greece's first ever World Cup round 2 match to be against a fellow underdog.)

Greece defense be like

Yes I do, did you read my post?

I said he should be sanctioned, that kind of attitude is not acceptable. But I think there's more to it, I think the Uruguayan press will dig this up. Remember Zidane's headbutt.

The italian team is famous for this kind of tactic, and this is not new in football, and is not new concerning Suarez, because every football player in the world and their mothers know that you can get a stupid reaction from Suarez if you bother him enough.

It's Suarez fault for being immature and having childish reactions, but I think there is more to the story than the bite.

Winding up opposition players happens pretty much every professional match played, so how many times have you heard about a player (other than Suarez) biting another one?

None. And this is the third time Suarez has done this.

Also, quit pretending as if italians discovered the art of winding up, it's ridiculous. Even if there's more to this story (which there isn't, as Suarez has already excused himself in an interview saying its "stuff that happens on the pitch) Suarez is scum and should be handed a lifetime ban, end of. Stop your embarrassing mental gymnastics.

Yea, that might have been the case, or maybe Chiellini actually asked Suarez to bite him, knowing that that'd result in a red card. I'm sure that if we scrutinize the match and read his lips we'll find evidence of that. Poor fella, he was just doing as he was asked

Anyone else think so many colombians are shining because Falcao isn't there?

What I mean by that is that gives space to the rest of the players to express themselves rather than just always looking to play in one man.

Hit the nail on the head here. The Suarez apologists are just ridiculous. Obviously an Italian hater in the previous post you're replying to.

I always thought Falcao not being there would end up benefiting their team. Same with France and Ribery.

People always say this when a team performs without their star but I don't see it that way. Sometimes you need that one guy who just changes the game in an instance.

It's amazing having a guy like Messi or Ronaldo pull something out of nothing and you would always rather have it than not have it.

On the subject of the Greece game , I feel so bad for the Ivory Coast. Here they are in a group that is possible to advance from for once and they get screwed at the last minute. I say screwed in the sense that a penalty was given at the last minute, not about whether it was legit call or not

Only themselves to blame, really. They should have played better the previous two matches so something like that wouldn't have been possible.

And don't ever compare what Zidane did to what Suarez has done on three occasions. Should be banned for even writing their names in the same sentence SMH

Yeah, that must hurt so bad. And it was just this one player trying to do a bit too much at that particular situation. I'm sorry for them in tat regard.

They were poor in all 3 games. No sympathy from me.

unless i'm entirely mistaken, that was not zidane's first headbutt that resulted in a red card.

Guys, no one has brought attention to the fact that this was the last time we'll see Drogba in a World Cup. :(

First Xavi, then Pirlo, now him, soon Klose. This tournament is heavy on greats retiring. 2010 had Henry, Cannavaro, maybe Lucio, but the exodus here feels massive.

Add Lampard, Gerrard, Xabi Alonso, maybe Casillas, and a bunch of others I'm probably forgetting.

Now I'm sad.

Zidane did it twice as well tho. Once when playing for Juve. At least as far as I know, could be more lol

He probably wasn't completely right in his head either. If your natural reaction when under stress or provoked is headbutting or biting someone I guess you just are a bit of a psycho really
