I really don't give a shit. It's such a small thing that i don't even think about it. It's an RPG by Obsidian, i will play it, pronouns or not pronouns.

No matter where people fall on the issue, I hope Neogaf on the whole still continues to dunk on the nut jobs. I'm against the normalization of gender dysphoria in the same way I'm against fat the acceptance movement, but calling it "satanic"? LOL
I'd skip over a religious fundamentalist game just as fast as I do woke ones.

Again, your game character does not have a physical birth sex. There is no way for them to be "trans" except in your own headcanon. Trans people are binary and use the same pronouns as everyone else.

I mean if anything this game is accommodating you because you can make a female character and then misgender them, right? You can make the whole game world transphobic against your own character!

They/Them pronouns allow for non-binary/androgynous/intersex characters. But that doesn't seem to be what people are hung up on, they're are obsessing over trans for reasons that just don't make sense here.

I never buy games at launch, so no biggie for me. I don’t think we’re going to see it though. The characters certainly aren’t coming across like the ones in Dragon Age Veilgard.

If someone genuinely identifies as a pancake, it could indeed indicate a mental health concern. Similarly, an obsession/fear with/of completely random hypotheticals might also suggest underlying mental issues.

My guess is the the 'Default' character on the creation menu will be a they/them monstrosity to own the chuds.

Either way, can't wait for the inevitable flop.

Also, pretty unhinged guy. Imagine being at a desk working on a game while thinking to yourself "I fucken hope this game gets Elon musk raging!"

The best part is, chuds won't play the game and start raging - they just won't bother with the game. That's why they keep flopping.

Most likely "They / them" will be default. Some games are already doing it, like for example Quidditch Champions

This is one of the problems with posting in an echo chamber like bluesky. You get no pushback or criticism on what you are saying/doing. Look at the replies there and all you will see is glorious applause.

Aren't they giving this rather small thing oxygen? Like pronouns really aren't THAT bad, but this? Why propagate a political feud with Elon Musk right when your game launches?

They should really stop and I mean, it may already be too late but if they love their game they need to stop. Let trolls be trolls but remember if you are trying to sell something it is not the time. Man, MS really can't win for losing.

I guess I'll be in on the 3rd thread when this gets worse. This will feed our youtubers for like a week guys(or way longer if anything else, and I mean ANYTHING else comes out). Why did they do this to themselves?

I fully agree. Openly admitting to inserting certain things on purpose in order to alienate a certain group who could buy the game and making a statement about it is just moronic. And later on they will call it as being "inclusive" lol

It’s over. Asmongold and SmashJT are making their videos as we speak. A whole lot of people who had an open mind and wanted to give this game a chance, now are rooting for it to fail.

It always starts with Pronouns. It never ends there. Hiding the Character Creator also said much. Social Media name calling from the games devs basically tells you all you need to know. The more it happens the wiser we become and we can start picking out these elements like birds finding worms hiding in grass.

This game's drama ultimately will provide more content to digest then the actual game's will.

lol, before all this I said I would play this game possibly next year, but now I will avoid it without any second thoughts. Besides, it doesn't exactly seem like a must play to me, in general.
