I am dinking around with the game at work on my iPhone via Xbox remote play via the app. I am using the touch screen, and accessing the menu's haven't been unresponsive at all. Though my fingers must be pretty dumb because I suck at using a touchscreen for gaming. I have my controller here, but I only use it when others are not in the office for the day. I don't want to make it THAT obviousIs it just me or are the menus incredibly unresponsive? Still not sure what I think of the game in general, but I'm already fed up with the menus after an hour.
If I accidentally press in on my right stick, it switches between first person and 3rd person. Not good for me when I am a solid button masher.Plays great on my PC. Third person working really well so far as well. I'll go back to first person later when combat is more invovled and see which I prefer.

i'm enjoying it so far. Only disappointment is I can't touch any dicks
It was a rough start I gotta sayI tried to play it, but these weird looking characters... I just can't. Uninstalled after less than an hour.
I will find out when I get back home. I did quickly see there was a south paw option, but I didn't dig much deeper on my iphone touch screen (ewe)Can you not remap it?

Yeah, maybe I held it down too long on my phone. I prefer 3rd person. I was startled when it went to 1st person. I was like EWE!! So gay! There is an option to quote unquote turn off third person mode in the options, not sure but it feels like after I disable that option, I need to hold the right stick in for a second or two before it goes the third person mode. Just a simple tap doesn't change perspectives for me, I have to deliberately hold it.
Sorry guys i'm really behind on my PC specs and whats good/bad but any idea if it's worthwhile me buying this on my gaming lappy? I want to play it but not going to buy an Xbox for one game.....again
CPU Brand: AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon Graphics

Not sure if you need to know anything else but any insight would be great.
I had to turn the thing off that put the giant flowers on their facesAll the preset faces look weird
Yes areas become more open. You’ll have big areas with quests to go on. That beginning area is small for a reason. You’ll get to a point where you’ll fast travel because it’s going to take you a while to get where you’re going. Will the game open up at a later point?
Because i'm at the beginning and it's pretty much linear level design.

Was able to jump in for a couple of hours and so far:
Pros:
Love the platforming and verticality of areas so far (like the first place you get to from the boat, I felt encouraged to climb the buildings, look around, etc). Feels a bit like Doom Eternal in some ways, really like this and hope there's a lot of it. This is definitely my favorite part so far.
Think it's really neat that you can freeze open sections of water to get to other areas, or whatever, to make real time platforms.
Combat feels solid so far - I like how punchy it feels at times. Magic doesn't feel as good, but haven't used it a lot.
Seems to run good, looks good.
Neutral:
Don't like that all skills are just available to any character and that there aren't classes.
Negative:
Dialogue doesn't seem great and I feel like the choices in conversation are set dressing at best.
That's really it so far. We'll see how it goes.
Runs on "high" for me with a 1080ti and 32 RAM. Epic settings cause frame rate degradation though.
I know that Avowed gets more open later on, the question i was asking myself is by how much open? You start in a linear tutorial area if that's what you're talking about.
Weird. I have moments where I'm clicking triggers to swap pages in the menu screen or trying to exit and it literally takes 7-8 tries before it works once. As soon as I'm back to playing, every button works 100% every time so I know it's not the controller.I am dinking around with the game at work on my iPhone via Xbox remote play via the app. I am using the touch screen, and accessing the menu's haven't been unresponsive at all. There are no classes, so anyone is a wizard really. Can just equip a grimoire. The water freezing is available quite early with items or you went wizard?
Installed
New Nvidia drivers
Transformer DLSS 4 preset K in app

Yes, but what I mean is you don't need to allocate any points into the "wizard tree" to use ice spells. When you equip a grimoire and it has spells you already know you get cast empowered versions of the spell.

Cool, I haven't found any elemental weapons yet.Element weapons work as well to freeze and burn things. I just realized that last playthrough. Now I just stab the water to freeze it and conserve my ice grenades.
Just made my character loaded in to the starting zone and am taking a break to prepare dinner. Plan on jumping in fully tonight. Thinking of going spell sword / paladin - this a fairly viable build? It’s my go to in RPGs. Any tips?
Is there defensive magic?I would say so. Keep in mind you cant block/parry if you are dual wielding.
Is there defensive magic?
Like I said, boring.Cmon, you have to show your character build
You can stop people with plant roots, which is a ranger ability. I don’t recall the name. Ice spell can freeze people. So yeah there are. Your comrades have abilities to assist too that can buff or help heal. I’ve put a lot of points in Dex for faster attack speed. Is there defensive magic?
