Yep, there's always a lot of noise around every big game here but once I dig past the thread titles I'll often find well reasoned discussion and a solid sense of whether a game is worth the time.And you think you can trust ‘GAF’?
Half of the ‘reviews’ you’ll see here will be from watching YouTube clips and streamers. A large portion will be stuck in culture wars nonsense.
At least the folks on Steam pay for the games.
Only thing to mentally filter off in Steam reviews is technical issues specific to niche hardware.

I'm asking a simple question. Is there more than the loonie? They seem to know the studio. When you make a claim like " all the awful people that is in charge of this studio", then I imagine you know the studio quite well. Should be simple answer. Make a list of names.

I personally never understood review praise, I mean, I care about my own opinion, not someone else's. Reviews should give you some impressions, not fully making you all in or out. I mean, typically you're playing the game, you're not watching someone play the game. Unless that's what you're into.

Typically by outlets or "content creators/streamers" that people tend to not care about if that's not their thing. Why do people hate watch/hate read? If you KNOW they're gonna say something you don't agree with, why not just ignore it and pay attention to someone that's more of your vibe? It just all feels like a waste of energy.

I feel like we’re only halfway through the disappointment decade.
It’s not all bad though. Plenty of great stuff coming out of indie or mid-sized studios. Triple-A is just a complete coin flip though

A guy at the studios was a racist and hated white people, or just white straight male gamers I don’t remember but you know the type. Then there are pronouns in the character editor. And it’s a Microsoft first party game and Xbox/PC exclusive, for now. There was some claims that the director was incompetent too and go that spot as a diversity hire.
I think that covers most of it.
