Canceling any game because I disagree with the personal opinions of its developers is crazy to me. Obviously if the game is flooded with lots of nonsense, my opinion could change, but a good game is a good game. If North Korean Dictator Kim Jong Un directed an amazing game, I'm probably buying it. Who gives a shit about personal opinions of developers? If I did care, I wouldn't be able to watch any movies or TV shows"one person"

Yes. He goes into depth with his coverage of games far greater than any of these other reviewers. I will never agree with any of these guys 100%. Dude has been my go to for reviews, guides, and lore on crpgs since I found his channel. I already started planning what my build would be for this game based off this vid.

I hope it’s good, not getting my hopes up too high though. And I liked Outer Worlds for the most part - the combat is a large improvement from previous Fallout games and I enjoyed the smaller denser world (at least on the first planet).

I do fucking find it funny though the ragebait youtube machine from either side trying to boycott games, from either ones. Be it REE trying to cancel cyberpunk 2077 & Hogwarts or the other trying to boycott Kingdom come deliverance 2. Oh yes, both make me laugh a lot. The extrapolation some of them do with almost no information to some kind of revelation that they know exactly how a game will be is fucking hilarious. I'm impartial to the levels of comedic relief both EXTREME sides give me.
I do, even though I'll never buy Veilguard, I can see why some peoples skip the bullshit and just enjoy the rest.
Which reviewer is accepted? I'm losing track about all the possible requirements a review needs to have the seal of approval. Can we determine a single one?

Yeah, and there are hundreds of people adding their input to any game. All with a wide variety of beliefs. If the game is good that is what should matter. It's dumb to cancel games you have never played, just because you can't deal with the personal beliefs of a handful of developers. It's no better than people on the other site boycotting the "Wizard game" because of JK Rowling. Fascist behavior

JK Rowling didn't make the game and her beliefs are in line with what society as a whole has concluded is "normal", both from a biological and sociological point of view.

OK. I could make the argument about Vavra, who directed and wrote Kingdom Come Deliverance 1 and 2. He has said some crazy alt-right shit in the past. Wore a T-shirt of one man band, who is a murderer and self described racist and neo-nazi. I don't think Morty is a shill by any means, but I think he has bad taste. That was further solidified by his lukewarm recommendation for KCD2, which is 10x the game Veilguard was.

Preferences and opinions aside, Veilguard is an ~80 aggregated rated game. A lot more critics liked it than not, so it's kinda weird to call out singular reviewers for giving it a good score.

I am not trolling but speaking facts. The game is made by a studio that supports racism because no one in this studio released a statement apologizing for the tweets that the art director of the game made even tho they became viral and even Elon Musk called him out
The studio prioritize DEI and they are clearly on board with racism and I am going to call them out and bash their game at every chance I have because they deserve it and because this is a forum and I have freedom of speech

Would be nice, same with anything SmashJT, Grummz, and adjacent related, lol. They all just feel like blatant traffic "drama" chasing tourists.
I didn't care for The Outer Worlds at all, to me it felt like a (newer) Fallout game without VATS, which immediately made it feel like it was missing something to me, lol. I admit I never had a huge heart for Obsidian either, closest I got to that was loving New Vegas. But because I have Game Pass, if this game seems like it's worth checking out, I'll check it out.

You know, coachmc made me realize I was starting to do what the far left always does: wanting to cancel things that piss them off. I should have separated the dev from the final product all along. That's what I'd normally do, so yeah, it's time to get back to that mentality.
That leads me to another thought: what separates the triggerings we get from idiotic posts on social media with the brands we all love or hate? If Ghost of Yotei ends up full of wokeness, will the same people hating on Avowed hold true, or run defense for their team? Will the defenders of Avowed also defend Yotei?

I loved Obsidian for bringing back the CRPG genre with Pillars....but Outer Worlds was already just okayish...and I am really skeptical about this game. Nothing I saw sofar was screaming to me "play me now!!". I wish it would be different. Really interested to see what people say here about the game when its out.
(and yeah this art director & his crew are having serious mental issues...doesnt speak for the game as well)

I personally wouldn't rate Veilguard above a four, not just because it's a poorly written game (and it is) but also because its type of gameplay loop disgusts me.
Still, a lot of people on this very same forum defended the fact that they found the combat "mindless fun", which means it must have some redeeming quality, at least if you are into coprophagia.

Your average person would look at these games on a case by case basis instead of participating in team sports and following one side’s every decision.
Of course, doing such a thing means you are labelled as a fence sitter, but honestly that’s a very minor dig for the peace of mind you get in exchange.
