Will drop pants for Sony.
Movie was worth it for this...

Zach Snyder's writers meeting for the justice league movie

If it were an adaptation of Man of Steel, the hypothetical game wouldn't fault you for Metropolis being destroyed and every major boss battle would end with a fatal finishing move for Superman to perform.

Basically GTA with Superman.

...Sounds kickass!

I fucking loved it, better than most of Marvel's stuff. Girlfriend wasn't into it, mostly because of Batman and Hollywood stuff.

Go watch it, review is just someone's opinion.

...Like the one you just gave?

Now now, I do believe it was better than Green Lantern.

Whether it's actually better than Man of Steel or not is up for debate and probably depends on how much Batman can save the film for ya. It was certainly busier than MoS.

I actually don't want to see Afleck's Batman after this, but I'm eagerly waiting what they're doing with Wonder Woman. She seemed cool, even though her part was really small.

I mean, Furious 7 and Transformers 3 & 4 are in the billion dollar club, so it could happen...

The thing is, serious and gritty films tend to do worse if word goes around it is bad. At least, that is what I think, Tranformers 2 is one of the worst films I ever saw in cinema, but at least I wasn't bored by the unholy mix of American Pie, Transformers and Bay. Dumb fun can do well, but long winded films that take themselves very serious? I am not sure.

Still, the name Batman will probably mean it still does well. But I do think it can have severe consequences for the other DCU films.

Dead

well not really...yet
I've now seen multiple (negative) reviews suggest Eisenberg was basically the only person having fun making this movie

Most seemed to find his performance excruciating
Eisenberg seems love or hate, seen praise and derision for him. No in the middle.

Yes? Go and make your own opinion. I thought it was clear with saying how me and my girlfriend thought the opposite. Guess you are not the smartest :)

The point he's making is that offering your opinion and then immediately suggesting people offering their opinions is a pointless act, makes the entirety of your post completely contradictory.

If you think it doesn't matter what other people's opinions are why would you post yours?

Think about it for a sec.

People forget that Rotten Tomatoes does not mean the actual quality of the movie, that is metascore.

Rotten tomatoes is the chance of you linking the movie. Be it "fuck yeah awesome" or "ok, that was kinda worth the price of the popcorn"

Like this image illustrates perfectly

Gotham is NOT for everyone ... but there are people who love it

I love it, I think it's probably the best superhero show on tTV. Still ain't seen Agents of Shield/Gotham season 2/Supergirl and probably other shit I can't recall.

You're not actually addressing the issue.

Snyder wasn't trying to make amends for the issue, he was backhandidly insulting people by being so overtly heavy handed with it. "See, nobody there now shut up and watch my murder porn".

1. I haven't watched the film yet, I can't actually say how overt it is or not.

2. He did make amends with that specific complaint. If the complaint was "the movie is too dark!" then yeah, he failed at addressing that. It should have been fairly obvious at this point that the movie wasn't going to be a ray of sunshine.

Eisenberg seems love or hate, seen praise and derision for him. No in the middle.

It's not because the role is great. Eisenberg does some fun stuff, but it's all over the top (Jokerish way). Terrible overacting. It's like Jim Carrey's Riddler and Ledger's Joker mixed up. I liked the character first, but in the end Eisenberg annoyed with all that mannerism.

You guys read this Walter Chaw review?

You should read this Walter Chaw review. I'm hit & miss on the guy (he's basically the kind of critic Faraci seems to be clawing towards when he overreaches like he does) but while this thing is long, and takes diversion after diversion, he hits on some pretty fucking interesting thoughts regarding Snyder's interpretation of these characters, and the reason this film might resonate with audiences even though the criticisms are all on point:
dit: Inferno, you dog! You beat me!

I get what he's going for, but his first paragraph is blatantly false. Make the Japan/American connection another way. Interesting read nonetheless. Thanks.

His "attack" wasn't personal, that's the difference. This is a discussion, not a mud pit.

Alright, language barrier then, sorry. Felt personal for me.

All I meant that reviews are not 100% truth and everyone likes different things. Then I felt that I got attacked for that but I read it wrong.

So out of curiosity I checked to see who has posted the most in this thread and surprise surprise it was you. A little obsessed, are we?

That makes 3 DC people that are stalking me.

I feel loved!

But seriously its adorable how riled up I have you all in the community thread. I must have struck a nerve!

Play nice when I say everyone has different opinion and don't trust the reviews

If all reviews are untrustworthy why did you write yours?

If you think opinions aren't meaningful things to share why did you share yours?

It's a discussion forum. Sharing opinions is largely all we do here. Suggesting they carry zero worth, while simultaneously using yours as some sort of positive example is counterproductive. It makes it look as if you don't really understand what you're saying.

That makes 3 DC people that are stalking me.

Nobody's stalking you. Knock that off.

How is one line opinion a review? I said everyone feels differently and you can't judge anything by some random guys review online. Make your own decicions and as example I brought up two different opinions in my comment.

There's a lot more at the link, but holy shit what a review. It's fucking fascinating to read.

edit: Inferno, you dog! You beat me!

Eisenberg's Luthor sounds like the most interesting character in the movie.

The intermisson was a german thing. They cut in the middle of movies longer than 120 minutes to sell icecream.
Detailed impressions later. On the phone right now
