I will not stand for this slander.F.A.N.G. is the worst Street Fighter character in a looooooong time.
Absolutely cannot fathom what they were thinking.

I was gonna say.In 2000 this would be a thread about how SF3 lost the plot with its monster characters and music that wasn't as iconic as the SF2 themes.
The voice is what makes him Street Fighter, else he'd be too cool for the series. If you are a fan of 70s kung-fu flicks, FANG's design is dope (until you hear his voice).

This guy gets it. I honestly don't get the F.A.N.G hate from a design perspective, & they basically nailed Rashid (from his gameplay to even his story arc).FANG and Rashid are Street Fighter as fuck, everything the series stands for when it comes to character designs. Much more Street Fighter than some of wacky characters in 3
Capcom was cool?
Rashid is the only good new street fighter character from a design standpoint, since C.Viper.This guy gets it. I honestly don't get the F.A.N.G hate from a design perspective, & they basically nailed Rashid (from his gameplay to even his story arc).
What about Juri?Rashid is the only good new street fighter character from a design standpoint, since C.Viper.
It's probably my biggest issue with SFV. The design direction. For want of a better term. 3rd Strike and CvS2 nailed it imo. As did IV to an extent. But V.. Even the little things. Menu music, the announcer. It just feels like it misses the mark of what it used to be. I genuinely think it benefitted from being released in arcade first, as it did have an affect on design choices to an extent. I guess if I was to sum my thoughts up, it doesn't have as much 'style' as it used to.

Yeah, no.
I disagree.

.......Bruh.Juri is awesome.
SF3 has some godawful and/or lazy character designs as well.
Sean, Gill, and Alex are really dull.
Last SF that had an all around good character design was Alpha 2.
They've been around since forever, it's basically synonymous to Street Fighter at this point. They should get rid of those muscle designs in Street Fighter... They look horrible imo >_<
We need Monster Hunter on PS4/Switch/Xbox, no more exclusive only please...
Where's Megaman X9? or even a reboot on the series, done right...
Get rid of these 8 bit megamans ffs, they look horrible... if I want to play them, I either emulate or play on my old systems/smartphone...
And OMG, where's DMC 5? Onimusha? I facking miss Onimusha =(

SFV wasn't made on house, but the designs are top notch, their rest of games are so good imho
It's a Street Fighter game. That's not an issue, that's a feature.![]()

Hmmm...Juri is not overdesigned, she has a very clear silhouette and specific color usage and nothing seems like an unnecessary trinket, (a consequence of the fact that she wears so little), the issue is more that she's oversexualized/edgy to an absurd degree. AT best, her design is insanely gaudy.

Her default costume in SF4 was dope, otherwise too anime. And they certainly regressed with her design in SFV.What about Juri?

You know, I was almost entirely focused on Fighting games when I made this thread, but it's funny you put MHX up there because it is another example of taking a simple, cool idea and then making it a complicated mess. I am not a fan of the new hunting styles system in that game and would rather they spend time improving their old systems instead of trying to make the game faster and more action heavy.

Nicali too, not only is this generic and boring, it also happens to be gaudy due to all the effects, scars, and other bullshit.

.......
You know what, gaudy is just an accurate description of SFV's cast in general.
yeah SFV does feel a bit lifeless on that end. Especially the announcer. How the fuck did they pick the most boring direction ever for the announcer?
Yeah, no.
I disagree.
