It's certainly not going to be from sales.
MachineGames might even get shutdown if their next game flops.
They'll already be lucky if it doesn't happen if Indy doesn't perform too well on PS5.
Cool story, bro

Reality is difficult to deal with, huh?
That's what happens when you deny facts for too long.
Care to point out which of the following was wrong?Reality and facts, sure thing man![]()
Which nonsense?
Indy flopping?
Avowed flopping?
Hellblade not being the GOTG?
Xbox going 3rd party?
SoT not being a hit on PS5?
I'm losing track.![]()
Care to point out which of the following was wrong?
Care to point out which of the following was wrong?
So you're saying even Xbox going 3rd party is false? The only thing right on that list is Hellblade 2 not being “GOTG” and damn that was quite the limb you went out on there. I mean, GAF was ablaze with talk of how it would win “GOTG”. You’re an adult?![]()
So you're saying even Xbox going 3rd party is false?
That's some denial, alright.

How are Indy or Avowed flops, they’re designed to keep gamepass subscriptions active with new content. They are not designed foremost to sell physical copies.
If SoT wasn’t a hit either was Astro if we’re going off sales.
I know, that's the denial part.I don’t consider them going third party
That's easy to say since they aren't selling copies. How are Indy or Avowed flops, they’re designed to keep gamepass subscriptions active with new content. They are not designed foremost to sell physical copies.
Sure, I've always stated that Astro Bot was a glorified tech-demo that only sold decently. If SoT wasn’t a hit either was Astro if we’re going off sales.

Took 4 months to get 1M sales.
That's not a success.

Former Xbox Exclusive Is Reportedly Selling Great on PS5
A newly emerged report suggests that at least one former Xbox console exclusive has been enjoying excellent sales on the PlayStation 5.gamerant.com
That’s like $30M in revenue for a port, after a few months…pretty good I’d say
It has continued to sell
You could say it is semantics, but I'd say there's a pretty big difference between being successful and being "a hit".
Given how people were hyping up SoT, how it's the one of the most successful and most active Xbox IPs, and given the size of the PS installbase, it's a joke.1M in sales may not seem like a “hit”, but this is a game that has annual content drops … it will continue selling as a GaaS title
It could be over 2M by now for all we know
That money is approaching AAA dev cost territory on a late port

I don't doubt it might be profitable, but it's really nothing to write home about.
Talking about the Xbox fans prepping the PS5 release.People were hyped for a 6 year old port?
It’s free money…and a decent amount of it

I'm arguing that the PS installbase barely gives a shit about Xbox IPs.
But yh, money is money.
It will need to sell better than gt7( which is most likely the current best selling racing game on ps5). Gt7 has sold approximately 10 million units, half if not more than that is on ps5. I doubt horizon 5 can eclipse that even though arcade open world racing game are more popular than circuit sims. It's like the people saying Forza Horizon 5 will become the best selling racing game on PS5... That would make it a hit. I don't think selling 1-2 million copies would make it a hit.

It will have a lot of hype especially since its first of the big three tentpole Xbox franchise coming to ps, plus word of mouth has been good outside of racing communities. So expect it to sell well. Just not as well as gt 7. I am expecting 3-4 million units lifetime on ps5.Maybe if it had launched on PS5, but it really can't make up that time. People have already purchased a lot of other racing games. Will they add another to the list? Maybe... we'll see. I expect it'll supplant the Crew Motorfest, but even that will be a big question.
1-2M sales is what you expect from an average lower-priced AA game. It's like the people saying Forza Horizon 5 will become the best selling racing game on PS5... That would make it a hit. I don't think selling 1-2 million copies would make it a hit.
It's almost like the cement hasn't dried
