Guess HeisenbergFX4 has been on ignore for some reason, even though I've never made things toxic for him like many of my "fanbase" has to me on here. I've done nothing but post my perspective and receipts, engaging in the discussion itself with facts.

At the end of the day people are trying to compare ~8 years of gaming to 4 years of gaming with all sorts of recency bias and a irrational anger towards cross gen games... The poll was flawed and so is a lot of the thinking that went into the results.

Its not really hard to interpret what he asked though

I'm genuinely starting to wonder if Game Pass is actually sustainable beyond the short term.

It seems like only specific games will sell while also on Game Pass. And definitely multi platform games. MS knows this....they might be strong enough to make more drastic changes.

I can't stress this enough: We're getting one-to-two GOTY nominees (and more of that caliber) every year.

This year we're getting Ghost of Yotei and Death Stranding 2. Next year we already know about Saros. Sony is having issues, but the pace of great releases hasn't meaningfully slowed down.

Comparing it to PS4 doesn’t really make any difference to me because I’d rate the PS4 as Sony’s second worst gen software wise. When you compare it to systems like the PS3 or PS2, that’s when the laziness really shows.

But I won’t say anymore, we already have a long thread on why PS5 is their worst.

I fully expect Microsoft to announce additional layoffs this quarter potentially even including studio closures to make up the gap in operating income.

Turn10, Ninja Theory, The Initiative, and MachineGames are all on red alert right now, MG might be on yellow alert.

Why would it be extremely likely? It's more likely that they would have a paid update or expansion (with a major Sophy upgrade, for example), since they have basically been giving everything away so far.

Indiana Jones is not a broad market game, it's basically a 3D Myst with some extremely light stealth and combat elements sprinkled on top. Any average joe interested enough to watch a video of it is likely to conclude it's boring and meandering, which honestly it is to most people.

Every SE executive who has signed off on taking Sony's $10 or $20 million checks for PS exclusivity should be fired and blacklisted from the industry for life. They've 1/4th'ed (or worse) their game's sales potential for chump change.
