Just prepare for visual cutbacks.
Look at the foliage and the trees in this photo, it looks the same as the ones in my photo's with almost same textures. Also they are gonna update the textures and with latest Cryengine i expect them to use tessellation on trees like Crysis 3. Now add RT on top of that and we are there, its Crytek after all so i wouldn't be surprisedThose are completely different assets. They are not remaking the game.
but bu.... that's not a game You play for gameplay or story. You play it for graphicsIf the switch port is good, I’ll get it on that

M MadAnon See told youCrysis Remastered will focus on the original game’s single-player campaigns and is slated to contain high-quality textures and improved art assets, an HD texture pack, temporal anti-aliasing, SSDO, SVOGI, state-of-the-art depth fields, new light settings, motion blur, and parallax occlusion mapping, particle effects will also be added where applicable. Further additions such as volumetric fog and shafts of light, software-based ray tracing, and screen space reflections provide the game with a major visual upgrade.

Crytek announces Crysis Remastered
Crytek to release a remaster of Crysis 1 for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch this summerpress.crytek.com
To be honest, this hardware never fails to impress me. The Switch library is filled with "Impossible ports", The Witcher 3 being the most impressive one. A decent Crysis port, handled by the right team, is not completely out of the ordinary.
It's certainly OK to have low standards. No one is judging.
Witcher 3 is actually pretty cool in that it lets you share saves between the pc version so you can actually have the best of both worlds in that case.I liked The Witcher 3 on the Switch, even though its visual cutbacks compared to other platforms were pretty damn apparent. I appreciated the fact that a game like this can run on a handheld, and this will be the same case here.
Then again, the best experience will be on PC no doubt. But portability is a key factor for me, and I can stomach some level of cutbacks for the sake of it. If that's not the case with you, that's fine.
'this Summer' meaning September 10thishWHEN???

Doesn't seem like it from the teaser. Looks like blue hue crap, again.Hopefully they stick with the more cleaner and realistic lighting from the original instead of that micheal bay blueish bullsh from teh games that came after it.
if its for switch alost must be poor remake.
Because memesWhy is that?
OH MAN if this is what the remaster will look like on pc out of the box.
Yep. It’s BC on Xbox oneWell there already is one, on PS3/X360 called Far Cry: Original, which went live few months after this gen started.
I think it'll be really cool from an engineering perspective how much they can push the system. It might convince some devs to use cryengine when developing a game on the switch. The idea of Crysis running on the Nintendo Switch is comical.
I finished them a few years ago.Did anyone else give the original Crysis a go on the PS3/360? Such an odd release.

They look great but the performance is terrible in some levels, and it is a blurry mess, you definitely dont want that amount of motion blur when the game runs at ... 600p?
Switch will probably be a big leap over these versions.
The full art and a partial screenshot were posted on Twitter.
Hope they find a way to make the different suit powers control more intuitively, switching modes around is just clumsy. At the same time without dumbing down the potential and powers like the sequels of course. I dunno, maybe something like being able to do every action normally by tapping the key, or with super strength with holding that same key, and being able to run and jump around normally, or while holding down shift which wouldn't be just the sprint but the super speed, something like that, with hotkeys for armor and cloaking as before, maybe even combining more powers.
