So the platform to get from best to worst (right now) for those who aren’t sure what to buy:

PC > Stadia > Series X > PS5 > Series S > One X > One S.

I don’t expect anything to change much when we get day 1 + next gen patch.

anyway, my hype is now through the roof. Choo Choo MF! I’m gonna finish off The World of Cyberpunk 2077 book. I was reading it but when the game was delayed I wasn’t interested anymore.

also, I’m not sure if I should buy the official guide? Anyone else getting it? I don’t need it to play the game but it will be cool to have a look through and when I do my second + third play through it could help me get different endings/romances. The thing I’m worried is if the game gets updated and it’s no longer accurate.

I really wonder how hard the game will be. I wanted to play witcher 3 on hard to really make the crafting and alchemy system worth it, but the horrible battle system kept me from doing that. I hope cyberpunks shooting and melee combat will be at least on a skyrim, "serviceable" level. I want the game to be hard (but not souls hard!), so it kinda forces me to explore and utilize all the possibilities to buff myself.

Witcher 1 was utter garbage in that department. But they got better with each game they made, I have to give them that and shooting is much harder to fuck up, I agree. Come on, final stretch, just one more week.

There was an interview (in polish) with the head of animation which had some bits of new information

this is via reddit

- CDPR didn't plan on doing Car Customization, idea was in back of their heads, but it was super low priority so they quickly forgot about it. Some of the devs (including the one giving interview) were shocked so many people wanted Car Customization.

- Character Creator is done in a way it's super easy to implement any new bits and pieces so it's really comfortable for devs to add to it. That's why they're wondering about adding new stuff in the future.

- Life Paths and special dialogue choices have "under the carpet" influence on your relationships with characters and can block or unlock romances or sex scenes.

- We can't control flying cars... for now ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

- Not every song was made for Cyberpunk 2077, they bought some licenses here and there (e.g. Grimes track)

- He belives next gen upgrade should come soon

- Played for 6 weeks on original PS4 and was having a blast (his product of course but guy seemed so down to earth I believe him for some reason)

- He wanted to have at least a little bit of fun so he decided to know nothing about easter eggs. He believes there will be tons of those in game

- He loved sound design in GTA V.

- There will be New Game Plus

There has been no confirmation that this PS5 game will now be 60fps. Works in backwards compatibility just like on PS4 Pro.

60fps means nothing if that city is just dead and empty , mission where they drive around in empty streets just so not next gen at all. and neon lights doesnt make it any better there, if that was limitation maybe they needed more time on game then ? because it looks just not ok.

I believe we can do this with our own cars, because in this game your car has auto-pilot as an option. Make sense too, being in the future and all. Pretty sure I read this somewhere.

Yeah, that was why I said "assumption" as I think that is iffy at this point.

I have been testing both stadia and geforce now for a couple days now, and have to say, if I had to choose between the 2, I would go with Stadia. Geforce NOW will definitely have better graphical fidelity than stadia, but Stadia seems like a much better service(so far from my testing)

I’m not expecting it to, but I wouldn’t be surprised. Ghost runs via backwards compatibility on ps5 and it’s 60 fps so just because it runs bc doesn’t mean it can’t be done.

True, but there are going to be day one improvements playing on ps5 vs playing on PS4 even though it’s running bc. XsX is running via bc too and it’s getting improved fps, no reason to believe ps5 couldn’t have that as well.

It's not even that futuristic considering that we literally have cars with autopilot today! Sometimes it's easy to forget how many movies/games actually used the current time as a far flung dystopian setting. Johnny Mnemonic was set in 2021 :O

Haven’t been active too much to try and dodge spoilers but damn it’s hard to avoid the news all together, just have to tread carefully I guess.

As for the meta prediction, CP’77 will get at least 90. The question is how much more.
Just remember Valhalla got 85. No disrespect to it’s fans but imo it was trash story, trash gameplay and trash everything not to mention the bugs.
Cyberpunk’s story alone will guarantee great scores.
