Eh you're not worth the effort. What a clownMaybe practice your english a bit more.
There is a huge difference calling someone a pussy for telling me he will put me on ignore and you telling me to fuck off.
Buddy you are weak sauce period.
NIthing of value was lostEh you're not worth the effort. What a clown
Another user for the ignore list
I didn't have the sense that you were going to be the one to actually craft an argument in defense of Bluepoint. Still worth going through the motions I suppose. 99-0!You know whats funny? Demon souls came out more than 4 years ago.
Let that sink in
See FF7 Remake / Rebirth what what they are: Requels.Me looking at OP pedantic comparison while I got served FF7 remake as the FF7 OG replacement.
Consider yourself lucky.
Play on PC (and wherever else RPCS3 runs good, apparently it's semi workable on a raspberry pi 5 so I imagine other not quite as low power devices can handle it fine, whenever it is available for them).Still, the servers are down for the original Demon Souls.
Are there any fan servers out there? I don't really know how to set that up.
It is easier to just play the remake.
Love me some DS but it was clearly a prototype to things they later improved with some really dodgy tech, designs and graphics showing it was a mish mash of scrapped assets Miyazaki salvaged into a solid game, I wouldn't claim everything is perfect (or even intentionally as it should have been). If you want it 1:1 play the original (or improved in PCSX3 with high res & fps, restored online, etc.), worrying about menu sounds, lol. Some designs are lesser, for others it's pretty subjective and for most it's just bs really. Play From games if all you want is 100% their take on it. Also what year is this...
Opinion - The art style of the Demon's Souls remake looks terrible
Assuming the trailer and screenshots are in-engine footage, which they seem to be, and not CGI. I feel like I'm completely alone on this, so I'm probably either gonna get a lot of flak or be completely ignored, possibly deservedly so, but since I love Demon's Souls so much I feel the need to...www.neogaf.com
I'm tired of this argument. Don't you think I tried that already. Nobody wished for a janky assets upscale.See FF7 Remake / Rebirth what what they are: Requels.
If you want an FF7 Remaster, buy FF7 on Steam and mod the fuck out of it. You get full VA for the whole game, 4K upscaled backgrounds, 60fps for combat and exploration, updated textures for all characters (chibi or FF8-sized), modern controls, etc.
The community basically made a full-on remaster for the game, to the point of looking like an AA remake.
Same. We get these threads almost once a year. Same people as well.As soon as Demon's Souls was confirmed as a PS5 release game I preordered both a PS5 and Demon's Souls. I enjoyed the game A LOT, later, I discovered that there were people that didn't like remake's direction, music, gameplay, some change here or there. My reaction was:
And I moved on.
Or... you could call it Demon's Souls. Kind of like the original. Pedantic on my part? Perhaps. But at least call it the correct name. You gotta realize that the remake was made by a different team. So, things change.
You get the same thing with Shadow of the Collosus.
I still think there is enough there to still call it Demon Souls.
Developers simply cannot win the remake debates.I'm tired of this argument. Don't you think I tried that already. Nobody wished for a janky assets upscale.
I'm all for 3D environments, cinematic cutscenes, voice acting and remade assets.
The real issue lie in the whole story change and it's the different genre and completely change the iconic materia system.
It's like if they changed Demon Soul to make is a hack and slash and changes half the story and bosses, and put the weapon system of breath of the wild.
This is why I think all remakes should include the original in the package. I think it's fine that everyone has different takes on what makes a good game and where the remakes rank among the original, but inevitably this will lead to a perception of competition between the versions. If the original is included with the remake, then it removes a lot of the point for the more heated discussions on comparing the two, and the remake becomes more of a novelty, the alternative take, rather than the improved one, if that makes any sense. I love Demon's Souls; I love everything about it. The Remake is better to "play", while the original is better to "experience". If both versions were available in one package, then the whole concept of the "superior" version kind of just becomes moot and the discussions become much more interesting and nuanced, and less focused on competition and more focused on comparison. Such is why I love it when remasters include the option to switch to the old graphics with a click of a button, or old audio as well, as some people are simply always going to prefer that version, and that's totally fine, so give them both options in the package so nothing is truly lost. This is the problem with remasters and remakes. They'll never make everyone happy. Straightforward upgrades like Soul Reaver disappoint people. Comprehensive remakes that keep the gameplay totally and 100% intact like this disappoint people. Comprehensive remakes that change gameplay like Resident Evil 2 disappoint people.
These things are like translations in books. They are essentially a new work and a collaboration between the original people and the new ones. It just is w hat it is. You cannot go into it expecting the exact same thing as the original, and even if it was the exact same thing as the original, you're not the same person who experienced it originally. It's just the nature of the beast. You have to look at it as a companion piece to the original not a replacement.
