He sent out a tweet that in the face of cancel culture he's coming back 😂.

The online community really disappointed him he says, and embarrassed him and his family.

Shiiiit you dont think it was the inappropriate messages you sent to a (near) minor? And getting caught for that?

The guy is lucky his wife didnt leave his dumbass. What a pathetic man.

Real men own up to their mistakes.

Pathetic men look for excuses everywhere else.

There's a familiar pattern to what happens after major platform censorship (YouTube, pre-Musk Twitter, etc)

First, a major platform becomes so locked down that discussion is impossible, and major areas of legitimate dispute where public opinion is not at all uniform (you know the ones; even jokes about them in some cases) are suddenly removed from the discourse and unable to be spoken without immediate bans.

In response, a new platform will spring up to be a home for excluded dialogue, with very few restrictions since that's their selling point and differentiation. It will gain momentum and may become a home for the kinds of things you couldn't say elsewhere.

Naturally, since there's nowhere else to go, a lot of grift / dishonest / insane content will also flow to the new platform.

The locked down / censored major platform will point at the worst grift etc on the free-speech site and say, "see, it's total trash over there" and use that to justify their own total-lockstep narrative control, and they will continue to grow profoundly worse in their own censorship in response.

Then you're left with one of two choices: (A) platforms that have very little grift/trash but that have an enforced consensus view on nearly everything which it's actually worth debating, (B) platforms that offer free debate but require wading through plenty of trash, conspiracies, etc.

I'll always take B. It's like going to a local dive bar with some rowdy blue collar guys who are at least authentic, even if there is some lunacy. That's far better than walking on eggshells in a protected environment built on manufactured consensus.

First time checking the site. And these are the top pick videos, which includes Geraldo Rivera. Great site.

Crowder 😆

I thought he gave up on all of this after that video of him being a whiny abusive bitch to his pregnant wife leaked.

I mean - his persona is exactly the kind real men are embarrassed about. The kind between males think real men are.
In all honesty I used to love watching Doc. His persona was funny to me. And in most cases, it still can be.

However I completely lost all respect for him as a person and as a content creator.

Thats for everyone to decide, but I think this guy is a massive clown and constantly looking outward for excuses. Instead of taking ownership of his mistakes.

Never really liked Rumble, too many guns and American flags in thumbnails. Seems fitting for an allegedly abuser. How long til he creates an Odysee account.

You clearly can't read. That is Dan Bongino commenting on stupid remarks made my Geraldo...
Which censorship exactly? Can you point me to examples and receipts?

Also the fact the Joe Rogan with Trump never trended.

For real. Dude was crying on camera before because he cheated. Really made it look rough and like it was something he learned from. He didn't.

Then he tries to spin that whole thing. It's sad. What a shit human being. Selfish, cowardly, and just gross.

The saddest part is people STILL support him.

After the video where he came clean about cheating on his wife, I also absolutely thought he learned from that experience.

I understand being wildly popular and letting that get to your head. But your wife is in stream feeding you grapes and eggs. Your kid is on your stream from time to time.

And then you go behind your wife's back, and send inappropriate (his words) texts to a (or close to) minor. Then it all comes out, and you wanna pretend it wasnt a big deal. And that its 'the internet' thats embarrassing him. Dude emberassed himself in my opinion. Shamed himself and his family. And for what? Dude was so successful.

Fuck this guy

Thanks, I'll def look into this, but I don't know or have ever heard of these people. Americans I assume? Either way It'll look further into it. Thanks for coming through with the receipts 👊🏼🙏 I appreciate it
No problem. It's just mainly used for conservative political activists to say what they want to say. I know Doc doesn't look great right now, but hopefully a move like this moves some people over there and makes the site better. The people running it have good intentions for the most part, and YouTube could use the competition.

Rumble is an exceptional streaming platform that has quickly become a favorite for those seeking a diverse range of content free from the heavy censorship that often affects other platforms. What makes Rumble truly amazing is its commitment to providing an open space for creators, offering them the freedom to share their opinions, ideas, and creativity without fear of being silenced or deplatformed. This makes it an essential platform for those who value free speech and diversity of thought.

Unlike more restrictive sites, Rumble allows content creators from all backgrounds to express themselves openly, whether they're offering news, commentary, entertainment, or educational material. The platform's dedication to transparency and fairness has attracted a wide variety of voices, making it a rich and varied space for users to explore. The absence of heavy-handed moderation ensures that viewers can find a broad spectrum of perspectives, from mainstream opinions to those that challenge the status quo.

Beyond its commitment to freedom of expression, Rumble's user interface is simple and intuitive, making it easy to navigate and discover new content. Whether you're looking for thought-provoking documentaries, cutting-edge comedy, or in-depth political analysis, Rumble has something for everyone.

As a dedicated user, I truly appreciate how Rumble empowers creators and fosters a sense of community around shared values of free expression and open dialogue. In a world where many platforms seem to be moving in the opposite direction, Rumble stands out as a beacon of opportunity for both creators and viewers alike. It's truly a platform that I love, and one that continues to grow in influence and importance.

I don't get why so many people are defending Youtube, a platform fond of censorship that forces content creators to self-censorship

There are words that can't be said in any context or your video risks demonetization and will be removed from recommendations.

How fast things change. Wasn't he talking shit about rumble???
I'm pretty sure he was because he thought he'd just be fine otherwise. Be it ego, or whatever. He was wrong.

So, now he's gonna flock to whomever will accept him. Aside from just his questionable community.

Because people were eating horse paste and drinking silver and saying it's going to be fine? Sometimes it's a public health issue. There are ways for the nutjobs to get their message out there, but a private company has no obligation to provide it.
lol horse paste. Why are you using talking points? It’s Ivermectin. A drug FDA approved for use on humans.

She’s waiting to see if there’s a couple more big deals in the pipes so she can have half of that pile of money aswell as the rest. Good on her. He’s already cheated on her once. Who knows how many other times there was that haven’t come out.

To be fair, Rumble has also tried to get Left side people on their site too. They don't want it to be an echo chamber like Bluesky is.

I only use Rumble to watxh Powerslap.

Rumble is like a death stranding but instead of whales, its pedo youtubers
No kidding it's a Dan B post. Why would Geraldo make a video talking about Geraldo wanting to fight himself? But still involves Geraldo.

If that's the kind of post Rumble thinks is worthy being a popular pick, that site is trash.

I mean, NeoGaf has censorship too. Not all censorship within online communities is bad. I guess some are just way more sensitive to the stuff they want censored than others.

Rumble seems like a place I’d never go to. I still haven’t. Honestly, today is the first day I’ve ever heard of it. And I’m sure I’ll forget about it once this thread leaves the first page on Gaf.

I'm not going to defend what Doc did, because what he did is not defendable at all. However, calling him a pedo, is a bit of a stretch. He sent some inappropriate texts to a 17 year old (17 is a legal age in some parts of the States, which is also fucked up). Also, it happened like seven years ago, which I believe was around the time of the incident with his wife. I'm sure she already knew since him and Twitch settled years ago. The man fucked up and he did not do a good job of owning up to it. He should have never said anything and let his lawyers handle it until he absolutely needed to say something. You think these millionaire streamers would hire a PR person when shit goes sideways.

Kind of fake news here... the thing with the Twitch DMs to the minor was contemporaneous with cheating on his wife with ladies and trannies alike. You're trying to make it sound like he apologized for the one thing and then went and did the other which just isn't the case (so far as we know). If you think he should have explicitly apologized for that particular text and/or you wouldn't forgive him for it, that's your prerogative of course.

Sexting a minor, or even sending messages containing sexual innuendo, is still pretty frowned upon, right?

Fuckos like him need more moderation not less so no shock he goes where they will let him be even more of a creep
He screwed up, and I'm not going to defend the guy for his actions, but it's not like he promotes creepy shit on his streams. The kind of stuff Rumble is known for allowing is more like election integrity and big pharma stuff that YouTube shuts down. I don't know if it's the best idea for Rumble as far as optics, but I'd like to see it bring more gaming content over to the platform for sure.
