I'm not sure I believe the Bioware Edmonton part, isnt that the main studio? whats left, Austin? to handle the next Mass Effect, for which there is an upcoming series from Amazon. I would take this with a huge grain of salt.
The last game that sold decently was ME3. Thats over a decade of underperforming games.

And this is EA we're talking about they've pulled the plug on less. Bioware as a whole is kinda fucked either way.

Dragon Age is cooked. That's a wrap.
Veilguard was already a wrap, whether unintentionally or not. Origins had the Blight. DA2 took off from the aftereffects of it, culminating in the divide between the Templars and Mages. Inquisition picked up from there - yes, there was the villain of the day, but ultimately, it was about Solas and the Veil.

And now... situation resolved, I guess everyone gets to live happily ever after? Where do you go from there? This makes me both mad and sad as a Dragon Age fan.

The LGBBQ grift is coming to an end. Virtue signaling only works when you speak to your actual game buying audience.
What i learned is its time to speak up.
We have been too silent for too long. Doesnt mean we approved all this shit.

When you speak up and confront these people with their ideologies they just run away.

They are weak, they are dumb and they are useless.

We need strong people in charge again.
People who have the peoples best interest in mind.

Socialism my ass. I grew up in east germany. You do not want to live like that.

I'm imagining time traveling to my 2010 self who just beaten Mass Effect 2 for the first time, riding high on my excitement, and telling me what becomes of Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and Bioware as a whole for the next 14 years. Just to be a dick I guess.
Unreal, and the worst part is, it took them so long to make them, it took a decade for a Dragon Age sequel, it will probably take another decade since Andromeda for another Mass Effect (if the studio isnt closed like this rumor suggests). Crazy. Such great IPs with wasted potential.

Sure, he can dress as a woman and convincingly present himself that way, leading many people to refer to him as "she."

However, the fact remains that he is (and always be) biologically male

Absolutely. Biologically, they're male no matter what. In fact, I might have even taken you the wrong way. I thought it was just a slander, maybe it was, but I jumped the conclusion either way. Anyway I think I saw myself in it because sometimes when these people piss me off enough, I get an impulse to throw that back in their face and I don't like when I do that.

The fact remains Dragon Age Veilguard was completely neutered when it comes to dialogue and party banter - the companions were dreadful and the level of writing was abysmal. Too many YT videos I could post here, but there was absolutely no depth or conflict there. Every companion is forgetable, everyone acts and behaves like they are in Disney E-10 Sunday cartoon. This is much more important than he being a she.

There's a very good chance Austin simply has better a better long term cost projection compared to Edmonton to the bean counters.

Their current location is not cheap, and economically I believe the USA is better off then Canada if they are at the point where they might have to close one studio.

Yea...if Corinne part is true, theres a good chance the studio part is also true, I just hope they give Austin a chance and dont just close all Bioware for good. If Austin gets a chance I hope Mike Gamble remains and colaborates with that studio, the guy's heart seems in the right place, I truly believe he respected the Mass Effect IP.

tbf even if the characters were hot. The game would still be terrible.
The characters dialog and personalities are fucking awful.
Off topic: That's subjective. I love the characters and I want to know more about there back story. For me the story and lore was good and interesting especially if you carefully read all the memory stick, journal and listen carefully to the conversations and sidequest. I actually appreciated the story more on my 2nd and 3rd playthrough. And most of all the graphics is beautful and the combat is excellent, fast but still tactical and precise without being to difficult.
