Disabled cinematic dialog cam to prevent stupid NPC from running off during convo seems to work but when they changed the active NPC for dialogue I need to focus my targeting on the new NPC. Silly silly, beth.

Also, noticed a very annoying UI bug when looting armor that is worn by the dead enemies: they are wrongly shown as 0 weight in the 'Transfer' window. Makes it a little bit annoying to decide what to loot.

Yeah, but I don't like the fact that it consumes a lot of fusion core energy. Seeing you have 99 fusion cores, you must have done the vendor glitch right?

Also Rifleman is a must have perk. Get all 5 of them.

Just like real life romance

;_;

Fallout 4 bringing immersive gameplay to a new level.

I have decent charisma, plus my equipment, and high ass luck. I guess that's why I easily was able to romance all of the three main ladies. My guy has his harem. Though only Cait has the wedding ring. She's his main waifu.

I have high ass charisma and low luck, everyone's really swayed by my nice clothes. Fashion really pays.

All right I've finally acquired local leader. My plan is that my first settlement, red rocket, will act as my base of operations and my tree house since that's where I have all of my shit.

I just connected red rocket with sanctuary. Went ahead and built like 4 of those MEGA water purifiers since Sanctuary has a river at the back, now I have like 160 water. Overkill? Yes. Yes it is. My understanding is that water/food also shares with trade routes so this was essentially done so I don't ever have to worry about water missing in the near future. Some questions for people who are more experienced with supply lines:

- Can I do what I mentioned above? Aka can I haveTown A basically bring the whole water supply to all of my other settlements (Town B, Town C, etc...). I really hope I didn't misread that as if so that's awesome as I can have sanctuary essentially be my food/water community and just have them send supplies to other major settlements.

- What's the best way to set up supply lines/trade routes? Can I do A to B and B to C so all of them share all of their supplies? Or do I have to do A to B and A to C for it to be optimal? Thanks.

You know what I really hate? That quest items fuck up your inventory and you can search through 200+ items to find that particular Holotape you have to listen to. >_>

The worst part is that the name in the pick up menu may differ from the pipboy menu name; Old Comptom's Tape showed up as Compton's Tape inside my pipboy (or something like that).

I've beenthinking of leaving all my magazines at home at least

Guys are food and water surplus shared between settlements you have linked up? Aka can I have one settlement not have any food or water if it's linked up to one that shares supplies with it and has a BUNCH of food and water.

I built 4 magazine stand to hold them all... until I just found another one. >_< Won't build a 5th one tho, that would look stupid.

Can;t you put 'em all on a magazine rack?

what vendor glitch???
I've gotten all my core from just normal play. I sell all my items, drugs, ammo and shit I dont use and buy cores with them. They only cost 288 caps for me. Plus I be finding them in random ammo crates, like 2-4 in one box. I find them faster than I can deplete them. In the late game, they had those cores out like candy on holloween. No need for a glitch

Why is your screen cropped like that? It is irking me holy shit

I cropped it to decrease the size a bit.

But anyway, long jump with jet pack.

Respec would be cheap as fuck imho. Especially for people like me who have essentially finished making all of their weapons and armor, and now I have all of those points I wish I could redistribute elsewhere but thems the breaks.

What perks are worth getting? Just started and looking to make a plan here

I mean what's your planned build? Melee? Ranged? You plan to stealth? Plan to spend a lot of time in power armor?

Was the end as much of a slideshow as it was for me? I just VATS'd the entire thing, because it is completely impossible to aim a gun at that framerate.
Oddly enough, the main firefights through the end were decent. They stayed around 20-25 fps but did dip to single digits in a few spots. I ended up using VATs too, but then again that's just how I played most of the game! But the strange part was that the framerate was tanking in the beginning and end when I was
talking to Elder after entering the hole that had been made
and when the game told me that
my "son" wanted to talk to me, the framerate tanked to like <5 FPS.
.

Like what? It manages to run decent through firefights but tanks in the dialogue/interaction sections? What the hell is up with that? Makes no sense, especially when comparatively the last bad framerate spot was Bunker Hill...a firefight spot.

I went BoS for the end (and on PS4), so I'm not sure if that made a difference.

Maybe it did, I chose
the Institute path and there was a MASSIVE setpiece battle around Liberty Prime against the Brotherhood AND the Railroad at the same time. There were like 30 NPCs on screen at once and the framerate was literally a slideshow

Welp. Time to completely change what my perk order is for the next few levels.

Now more than ever I want a respec option.

Personally, I think the best weapon mod I've got is the night time bonus one.

Increases damage the longer into the night it gets.

It goes from doubling to tripling the damage of the weapon over the course of the night.

It also debuffs the gun during day time... but just switch out to another weapon.

No, it doesn't work that way. Trade routes share your building resources between settlements (wood, steel etc.) but food and water is per settlement.

Ohhhh. Makes sense. In that case if you've got factions interacting like that, I can easily see that happening. Man that sucks ;_;

See I thought this too but the game itself I could swear was the one that told me that food/water is shared. And if you have an excess of crops it should theoretically mean that what is not used is stored in workbench and that since there are supply lines those settlements that need food would eat from them.

I'll have to test it out later. It's kind of hard to test it though when the settlement management is fucked/bugged. Whenever you leave one and check in your pipboy it'll tell you you are missing supplies and the happiness starts ticking down.

Just started digging in to it. I'm not a PC player so I play everything on consoles. That being said....WOW. This game is rough on consoles. It's hard to play at times.

I refuse to use power armor. My character is stupid and weak and has only survived this long due to a golden tongue and dumb luck.

Something strange/hilarious just happened
In the Confidence Man quest, where you are supposed to encourage the bar fight with Travis, instead of a fist fight, Travis just whips out a pipe pistol and murders the two dudes. Now Vadim is giving me shit for murdering people in his bar. WTF?

With all the problems that this game has, I think there's one thing I've found that it's very good at;

Just the random, non-story, encounters that you can get into. Maybe you'll find an item, maybe not. Maybe there aren't any enemies or tapes to play or safes to pick or consoles to hack. Maybe it's just the afterimage of a scene that happened long before you arrived.

For example, I was wandering Boston proper near the Commons and got attacked by some raiders near a fire escape. So I fight them up the escape and get to the top and kill them all off. And I'm searching around and pick up some ammo. Then I get to one roof that has a patio chair next to a box with some refreshments on it and a gun with no body nearby. And in front of that chair is a ramp that just...raises up to the end of the building and leads nowhere. So I look at it and get on it and look across to the building across the street and I see a body hanging out of a blown out opening to this building full of crates and supplies. So I run and take a leap of faith and make it in. And look around and loot the place then look over the side of the building to see how the hell to get down. And I notice the street has the bodies of random traders and settlers in between the two buildings. And when I eventually hop down I find one that's just legs sticking out of the ground, on purpose. And that was it. Nothing else, no logs or papers or anything. Just a little self-contained shot of the world. And it fucking worked.

Then I wander over to the Boylston Club and hop in. (Spoilering just in case)
And I wander upstairs and just enter a fancy room full of skeletons. Just fucking cloyed with skeletons and bottles of alcohol. And I wander around looking for shit just picking up the wine as I go until I notice something right as I grab a bottle and see it's name flash by. So I go into my inventory and check and yep, the name of the wine is Poison Wine. So I find Poison Wine all around this place, completely unusable as an item since it just detracts from stats, in the hands of these skeletons or near them. And then I find the holotape that has the man announcing a toast and closing of the club. And that's it. There's nothing there, nothing much of anything except some middling loot. And it's just this perfect little scene that works.

Those are the moments I'm loving from this game, in between groaning at my limited dialogue options and not caring about my stupid sack of baby.

Yep, shit like that is one of the main reasons I play these games and what I was basically saying myself a few pages back. I just love taking my time and exploring the world. Bethesda gets a ton of flak for the simplifying of the series, shit writing, bad graphics (which I don't really agree with this time around, I think they look great for the most part) but one thing they absolutely nail are all the details and intricacies in their crafted world.

A lot of things could easily be missed if you're running around and not really paying attention. The game actually rewards you for taking your time and exploring every nook and cranny. They know their audience.

Ya know, it's funny. You obviously love your power armor and you post all these cool gifs but I have not used power armor once after the initial Concord mission. I prefer the "traditional" playstyle. Maybe once I'm done exploring and get bored I'll start messing with it more.

This has been the biggest annoyance for me. My Sanctuary is bugged like that so every time I leave happiness drops down massively even though it's my most built up settlement easily. Says I have 0 water when I have over 50 lol.

Biggest problem is that you don't normally cut loose like that due to ammo issues.

But next play through, I'm going to add enough ammo that I don't have to worry about that shit and only play it as a FPS.

What ammo issue? Half my guns have over 1k ammo, the other half has (shotgun for example) has 500. Hell I have over 1500 fusion cells for my laser stuff
