from rumblings I've heard the steam version of VanPri has no training mode or controller support. Just what I've heard, giving you a heads up to double check.

This seems pretty silly to say, GG is clearly under a certain subgenre of fighter so it's easy to identify it that way. The only negative thing about saying "anime" is that it's anime. That has a negative connotation to some people. I used to use the term "airdasher" but that got muddy and nobody liked it. I'd like to use ASW but the community has so much bleed over into other games it's kinda murky. Anime is just the commonly accepted term so I roll with it.

There's controller support, though no Training Mode. It's pretty barebones. But it's also only $3.75.

It's murky, especially since so many games borrow concepts from each other. I've always seen it as fighting games spawning from a lineage of sorts, where games begat games begat games; certainly games from the same developer tend to have a distinct look and feel, even as the games are very different. Anime just kind of fits because most of the games involved heavily borrow certain stylistic tropes.

It's a FighterMaker 2k game, they generally don't have dedicated training modes but you can use a bootleg one in versus by hitting the function keys to set meters to various states.

Well if you want to play the “who edited game”, this post used to say something else but it took you three whole minutes to figure out that I wasn’t going to play you. Which is good, because while the thought of you grinding your teeth and waiting for me to show up for an indeterminate amount of time seems funny, it’s actually kind of lame. But then again you probably did the same thing waiting for me to respond to you. So, eh whatever :D

My TK bad moons increased in proficiency by 1000%. If only the Netcode wasn't PS2/Xbox era bad.
