I know how it goes, not travelling to tournies for similar reasons right now. Just remember, if you do get interested you have resources and people to help you and the playing field will be more level than you think.

Yea, I agreed with him as well. evo should have way more games. More streams. Get finals on Saturday night again.

Evo has an agenda so that will never happen.
I think once you have more than 3 streams it gets crazy for your average viewer, with it already being a bit difficult to even notice secondary streams are a thing.
I like two games streams + a panel stream TBH. And even though I agree it is like the Olympics, I think it's okay for some pools or not everything to be streamed. Should just be concentrated cream of the crop for the full two days.

I loved how SCR did it. That shit was nuts. And I got to watch games that I otherwise wouldn't have watched at all, like Gundam.
TLOU is on my list of games to play throughout the year. I'll get to it eventually....
When the GOTY edition comes out with all the DLC, or the PS4 version.

There isn't a need for even two streams. Just don't waste everyones time with shitty pool play and show Top 16 & Top 32 for all games. It still baffles me that stresmers & TOs haven't figured this out yet. Pools suck, watching pools sucks, I don't care about Scrub32 vs. Johny.Donouts or Mr Irrelevent vs. Daigo. I want to see the best play the best in all games & so do all the.casuals and most of the hardcores.
Why do you think finals day gets the most views? Or E-Sports events revolve around just the very top teams? This is inherent with entertainment & competitive things in general. Once the FGC can move past this showing off the mediocre, the scene can begin to grow again.

Maybe. But sports fans handle multiple channels for the Olympics and the NCAA tournament though.
I thought Scr went fine will all the streams? Though I agree, only have the cream of the crop on and focus it more. Maybe still record everything possible though for yt uploads.

I disagree. Best part about Evo is smaller games getting time on the big stage.(pretty much the only time of the year people Watch KOF) I'd rather have less games on a bigger stage than games in the double digits with the audience mostly ignoring the majority of them.(kinda like the Olympics)
I sometimes enjoy pool play more than finals. And I espcially appreciate pool play being run when games I don't care about are on other streams
Just always have games running if possible

We've discussed this before. Just don't watch the pool play early on Fri and sat. These are open tournies. There are no semis or finals to show at that time anyways. They have to start at point a and work through the brackets. It's the way it is. Why not show it if there is nothing else. Pool play is a crap shoot, who knows what you will get. Maybe crap, maybe an up and comer with an upset and some weird team or playstyle. Just let it rock. If there is top 16 of something to show, don't show pool play. I like pool play though.
I think Valle did a good job with the schedules with all the games and all the streams. It could be even tighter for evo if they wanted. More streams. More choice. just try to get all the finals on stream and some shine.
