Wrestlemania excites me not, but you should batter Liverpool.

And I'll be in the UK to see it. Excellent. A break from late night, biscuit-fuelled marathons.

Liverpool will hammer us hard.

I find that when I'm overconfident about a match result, I jinx it. Every single time, the result is the complete opposite to what I expect. When I remain neutral, shit goes my way. I'M A WIZARD 'ARRY.

Mahamadou Diarra has joined Fulham until the end of the season, with a possible extra year.

He was a free agent, after leaving Real Madrid to join Monaco for free, before leaving Monaco after they were relegated. Surprised nobody snapped him up. He used to be some player. Remember he got some bad injuries. Hope he does well for Fulham.

Is the England game this week and then Premier League back next weekend?
Yep.

Could be a pivotal weekend in the title race, City have yet another easy game, home to Bolton. United are away at Spurs. Gap could be 5 points by the end of this gameweek.

BTW, I'm sure avaya will be all over this, Arsenal have announced profits of almost £50m for the first half of the financial year and cash reserves of £100m+. Use it?

Don't be like that.

We can do Spurs with Waz and Tony back.

Super Tom would seal it, I know.
For sure, just wouldn't be surprised if they beat us either.

Our fixtures get very title-winning friendly after the Spurs game though.

WBA (H)
Wolves (A)
Fulham (H)
Blackburn (A)
QPR (H)
Wigan (A)

No Parker either. Plus Spurs never win against us.

A fit Sandro is a far better football player than Parker, whatever his other qualities. Livermore has also played well this season and did a reasonable job at Old Trafford earlier this season. I expect we'll do what you did after the 6-1 and just focus on grinding out 1-0s.

Friedel
Walker Dawson Kaboul BAE
Sandro Modric
Lennon VDV Bale
Adebayor

That team will give you a game, especially at WHL. I'm still not convinced we have the mental strength for these big games yet, but in terms of personnel we will have just as strong a side as you.

Oh I agree, I've said before that Spurs have a stronger squad than us. But where your mental strength lacks we have it in spades and that's the reason we're still in the title race.

Who'd have thought bringing Scholes back would have been one of the best decisions of the season?

King won't be playing?

Scholes coming back has just been amazing. I was very sceptical at the time but he's been playing so well. Helps Carrick out alot also who's also been in great form this season.

King won't be playing?

I will be stunned if he does. He wasn't fit for Stevenage, clearly wasn't fit for Arsenal and from Harry's comments afterwards it seems he's got a whole bunch of niggles weighing him down. I suppose we might bring Gallas back from the dead like we did earlier in the season.

"I wish that I don't score in the next match, the other players should so we can drive home happily"
Mohamed Zidan before the match against Dortmund

Once a Dortmunder, always :D But well, I actually like the opposite of his quote more. He can score one or even two as long as Mainz loses :)

And the airing of the second season of GOT.

Shit, that's already upon us? I haven't watched the first season yet. Now I know what to move on to after Breaking Bad. How are they handling the fact that only five books have come out and that they will rapidly catch-up to GRRM? Are they going to start splitting the books into two seasons worth of material? I should probably direct these questions elsewhere.

Have any of you guys played on xperteleven.com? It is like an online FM. I haven't looked into it too much, but it seems like something fun Footy-GAF could do.

Could be Raf, Smalling, or Jones in that RB. I'd like to get the Raf and Tony partnership running again, personally. Don't really know, though.

I've heard that A Storm of Swords will be split into 2 seasons.

I'm not even sure if that will be enough. It will take a miracle for GRRM to finish The Winds of Winter in the next 4 years.

There is absolutely no way A Dream of Spring will be finished by the time the show runs out of canon material.

Jones is great at RB though. Rafael too, but Jones is certainly more solid and I'd fancy him to do a better job against Bale then Rafael. Eugh, Evra, Lennon will cut him apart.

That was the first time I was left with my mouth wide open. It was like holy shit.

My first moment like that was in Season 2 finale
Walt watching Jane choke on her own vomit
. It is what really got me into the show.

It's a good thing I didn't get very far in A Dance with Dragons. It just didn't hook me like the others did.

A Dance with Dragons was better than A Feast for Crows but not as good as the first 3 books.

You should still finish it though. It has a jaw dropping ending.

I forgot about that, I was fucking stunned by that even more than the season 3 thing. Holy shit I need to watch season 4 lol

Yea, Season 4 isn't on Netflix which means I will probably need to purchase it off iTunes or something. Damn.

Yea, I will. I have like five books I'm in the process of reading, but I'm getting A Song of Ice and Fire itch, especially with S2 of GoT coming so soon.

We should make a FootGAF Watches thread. lol

Yeah. It's a bit of everything with Evra. Just not comfortable, and we don't have a defensively capable winger on that side most of the time. So when Evra mysteriously drifts inside, all he leaves is space and more work for an ill-equipped attacking player. He really is going to have to trust Rio and Evans and just back himself to mind his own area, because Nani, if he plays in front of him, won't be able to help too much, and more than a few crosses whipped in to Adebayor will mean goals. And the way Evra is currently approaching his role is just an invitation to put it over. Pulling back towards the six yard box doesn't helpfully make us more compact or anything.

That's if Nani is remotely in that area anyway, which is emphatically unlikely.

Scholes coming back has just been amazing.

Its amazing that Scholes and Giggs are still able to put in performances at their age but the fact that Scholes had to come out of retirement and that United are performing better with him is symptomatic the problems United have been having this season. Frankly its slightly embarrassing for United to be in that situation.

As someone who isn't supporting any particular team I'm hoping that United and City both lose this weekend to close the gap at the top.

I don't think it's embarrassing. Fact is, he creates space better than most footballers. When we buy someone, they will hopefully be better for the team overall than Scholesy is now, but for the role he's playing, he's still top class. Super Tom needs a long run of fitness to fit back in, but he really will fit. I'm not just saying that because I worship the lad. He is a fearsomely efficient passer.

Dave rescued him bigtime against Norwich. That would have been awful. Norwich striker couldn't believe his luck.

Hah JT!

Does anyone please have the gif of the Charlie Adam's penalty smacking a guy eating an ice cream? I posted it on the page before, but it was hosted on the terrible tinypic and has now been deleted. It was too big for imgur :(

Van Der Vaart has now pulled a sicky, he's not going to play for Holland this week. I hope Sandro pulls out too, those two need to be ready to come flying out of the traps against United.
