This may surprise you L1nett, but Daniel Taylor is regarded as one of the best sports journalists in Britain.

Oh I know he is. But when you blatantly lie, publish distasteful comments, wrongly blame people and a write badly researched article about a tragedy that killed 56 innocent people that he knows nothing about I fail to see how.

Also when people correct him delete all those comments, fail to respond to any letters of complaint and then continue to publish mistruths? yeah he's a prat.

and the actual good writer, David Conn wrote a really good piece about 5 years ago which Taylor utterly ignored. Exemplary stuff.

Watching the Palace/ Dover game has me really worried about the United game's pitch conditions.

Had to look up Yeovil on the map this morning

Is Metro any good?

It's on offer on PSN. Worth playing?

100% Ask Carbo and Prinny. Tremendous games.

Ronay is the best writer in the world

Yeah he's good, as is Conn. Like I've nothing against the Guardian/Observer. Taylor just really rubs me the wrong way. As does, will probably get some stick for this, having a dedicated Man United correspondent in jamie jackson.

He's the only football writer that I really enjoy reading. Love all the weird and elaborate similes.

On Rooney's decline:
Above all he has lost that sense of absolute joyful certainty in his own powers, reduced instead at times to whirling about fretfully between the lines like a dying crab, eyes fogged with grit, gargling brine and scurf, pincers snapping at empty air.

Both are great.
Thanks LADS.

Going to buy Redux off PSN. Two remastered games that I've never played and by and large seem right up my street is too hard to pass on. Strong source material, too.

Hopefully it downloads to a somewhat playable state by the time I'm back from Sainsburys.

Strange, though. You can buy each game individually for £9.79 or the Redux package for £19.99. What's the incentive to go with the latter?

He had someback and forth on Twitter with people about it and provided some of his reasoning etc. Sensitive topic and obv many will disagree but not fair to say he basically whitewashed responses. You can go and read his conversations now, still up there I'm sure.

Also wrote a piece on it a few years back, around 2011 I think.

Jamie Jackson is the Manchester correspondent.

That's strange, Should be cheaper as a pack. Probably a PSN fuck up.

I don't think Taylor is actually a United fan. Covered the Manchester beat for years though and has a lot of contacts there.

Forgot about Origi.

Liverpool are going to have a very young squad going into the summer. Off the top of my head I think only Lambert is above 30? Brad Jones too?

Lambert and Toure have been Rodgers' only signings aged over 30, Lallana is the only one Rodgers signed over the age of 25, I believe.
Lucas is about 27, and we'll be getting shot of Johnson and Skrtel. Mad to think those two plus Gerrard were probably earning like £350k in total.

She's got a bout of Ushoptimism too if it's the same one.
Louise Taylor's prediction for who will win the league last season:
Tottenham. Europa League involvement and the potential loss of Gareth Bale are worries but Roberto Soldado and Paulinho look excellent signings and AVB is a class coach.

Louise Taylor's prediction for last year's player of the season:
Hatem Ben Arfa. Providing he stays fit, Ben Arfa belongs on a different planet to most mortals. Capable of eclipsing Rooney, Bale and even Suárez.

Louise Taylor's prediction for signing of last season:
Paulinho. A sort of Brazilian Frank Lampard, his ability to score freely from midfield promises to transform Spurs.

Louise Taylor's manager to watch:
Paolo Di Canio. The self-styled "revolutionary" is clever enough to confound his many critics and lead a reborn Sunderland into the top 10.

Our team's fucking chocka with prospects. Real prospects. The sort you're compelled to start in league matches, rather than away to Yeovil in a cup. Lads below 23, 22 and 21.

It's going to be great. They'll flourish together, grow together, pouring everywhere like steam from the most vociferous of blimps. Chugging up the league with a steep and unforgiving trajectory.

Quick lads. Strong lads. Technical lads. Smart lads. Willing lads. Unselfish lads. A great set of lads.

Has Sterling signed a new contract yet? Locking him down is crucial.

FM stuff:

Signed Sterling for United coz I could. Have him and Di Maria playing as shadow strikers in a counter attacking strategy. Absolutely pissing past every side in the league. Too easy.

Think I may start a new save as Dagenham & Redbridge or summat.

Would've like to see Adnando get a game.

Bit bored of Falcao, if I'm honest. Risk dropping his knee into a volatile playing surface as well. Violent scuffs all over the shop.

I'm in my third season for Monchengladbach.

Balenta is leaving next summer if we don't win the league (we aren't). I bought Depay for silly money and he hasn't really done owt yet (three games in). Paid through my arse for Emre Can primarily because he's German and had great hair. Flogged Subotic for £7 million because he can't concentrate. Need a full back and right back with the proceeds and I've got six days to make both happen.

Fucked it, really.
