Sissoko on his way to PSG apparently.

I hate to say it but neutrals may look to put a little bet on us getting relegated now.

He was pretty much our talisman.

Rumor was they'd give you cash + Cabaye. Wouldn't make up for the loss really but could soften the blow.

SIssoko to PSG is the most predictable transfer of the window. He'll be more successful there than Cabaye was I think. He's supposedly leaving PSG.

Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much
I presume Sissoko will be PSG's cover for Rabiot if he joins us. Hope it gets sorted soon, I don't want Paulinho anywhere near the pitch while Bentaleb is away.

Good player, interesting to see who Swans reinvest the dosh in or will they give Gomis more chances up top.

And isn't Bony gonna be at the ACON for a while yet. Players always take a while to recover from that especially if they have a long run which Ivory Coast presumably will.

Gomis is awful.

They should try and find another Eredivisie talent.

Im sure I read something about the generally poor level of success Ferriano and Txiki had with transfers at City and Barcelona, probably something to do with that.

City have done pretty well on transfers the past few years. Made a profit on Negredo, Rodwell and Javi Garcia was nearly a wash after 2 years. Seems like we obviously will pay what it takes if there is a player that is desired though.

The Mirror are saying City and Swansea have agreed on £30m.

Swansea paid £12m for him and he's scored a good number of goals. Probably fair to say his value has doubled. £30m+ would be a bit disappointing.

His value might be fair (I think about £20m-£25m is about right but who the hell knows these days) but do City really need to spend that kind of money on Bony?

I mean, he's good but you have 3 pretty good forwards already.

Seems excessive, maybe somebody is going to be moved on.

I don't quite understand why City want to pay so much money for Bony.
He is probably overpriced because it's the January transfer window.

I think about £20m is his right value, he had a £19m release clause in the summer.

Plus two of their three forwards are very injury prone.

I know City are struggling with injuries, but wouldn't he be 2nd choice, and more like 3rd when all is said and done?

Way to bring your booming career to a halt if that happens.

I feel we are 3 maybe 4 players short of a title challenging team. DM, CB and a GK 4th being a striker who gets goals for fun. We should let a few players leave too to free wages up too. I mean Arteta and Flamini are past it they cant do a job at the top level.

Indeed. We need top class players not only any player playing in these roles

I wont mind the club signing Schneiderlin, he's a beast for sure. CB? Cahill is fine with me

GK? Now thats tough. Ummmm, Casillas? No we need someone for the long term

While that would be nice, it's just not plausible.

Cabaye's wages would far exceed our self-imposed wage cap.

He left because he wanted to win trophies, I can't imagine he would want to return considering the situation at the club hasn't changed.

He's also aged since, we buy players young to then sell them on for a profit.

I think it's a really short sighted buy to be honest with you. Bought because their other strikers are injured, despite being away for the next month, despite having to contend with Aguero/Dzeko/Jovetic when all are fit, despite the fact Milner is playing well there and Silva's capable too, despite the fact they keep blathering on about wanting to give youth a chance...

Bony is a great goalscorer, will prove to be a good fit for City although the price is a touch high IMO.

Man, just makes me think what Shearer would be worth in this current market.

£90 million?

How are Arsenal going to sign Cahill?

(He's not good enough for what you need anyway, IMO)

If I've learned anything from Football Manager is that when you play with a lone striker having more than 2 competing for the spot in the team is already a recipe for disaster. 4 who could be first choice in most teams is just asking for trouble :p

I agree with all that wilbur but think it's odd for people to criticise Bony. He wants to play CL football, who on earth doesn't

Greatest respect to Swansea this is a step up at a prime time of his career

Wouldn't criticise him necessarily - although his chances of first team football have dropped considerably, and considering he was peeved Monk left him on the bench for one game...

Just a little rash from City, I think.

How are they going to sign him? Pay money?

Well, he's not superb but better than Mertesacker for sure

There arent any world class CB's anymore anyways

Another attacking midfielder is not what Arsenal need.

At toulouse he played a lot deeper and while had license to roam. Is capable of protecting the back four, in fact he's more than capabale hes bloody good at it.

With whats available on the market we dont really have many options.

What an upgrade for City. From Dzeko or Jovetic to Bony is massive. If he wasn't going to the ACoN I'd switch my opinion of Chelsea winning the title to City.

Humongous hole in Swansea's team now though. Maybe they can take our ex-Eredivisie striker off us?

I don't think he'll be bought because the others are injured. If he's bought, it's because Pellegrini wants 4 out and out strikers competing for the two spots he prefers to play with. I don't necessarily think we're better off using 2 strikers, but that's his preference and you obviously want the manager to be able to play like he'd prefer.

Bony is probably right about equal to Dzeko but a bit more consistent within the past year and he offers a better aerial threat. Jovetic... I don't know what we'll do with him. He's really not very well suited to be a lone striker and even as a secondary striker, a guy like Lampard offers more dangerous runs into the box than him anyway. I wouldn't be shocked if he or Dzeko were sold this summer.

The youth thing is the perpetual question. Pozo is definitely not a lone striker though and the others are a bit young. Cole and Hiwula are good players but not Champions League good.

Really? A youtube vid from the second division?

That's like making a video from someone in League One :lol

Who gives a damn if its from the streets league?

How about you watch what he's capable of instead of talking like if you're a better footballer?
