And he only played 5 games so far this season. From the possible 17 games.

The league quality level is low but the player got quality thats for sure

Sure, there's quality in there. But if he can perform for a big club remains to be seen. Players like him are most likely to transfer to a midtable club first before even thinking about the Dutch top, so still a long way to go. Unless Feyenoord pick him up, they work together with his current club.

And I was Googeling if he's maybe injured but I can't find anything. So it looks like he ain't even a starter at Excelsior at the moment.

He's a 21 years old I dont think its a must to be a starter

Many players now in top flight were subs and now starting

I agree though on him moving to a midtable team first then see if he goes top flight later

Giroud hold up play is fffffffaarrrr superior to Welbecks and with Sanzhes and Walcott Welbecks pace isnt really needed. Walcott makes far better runs and is a better finisher (when in form) than Welbeck.

Look, Bony would get goals. He got nearly 40 last calendar year I think. He's a fucking complete package as a striker.

I just think it's a little odd that City would buy someone who straight off the bat is at the very most second choice, arguably third. 30m for someone who isn't going straight in that first team is mental.

City play with two strikers often, which helps but for him to be completely confident of his chances of playing, I wouldn't be surprised if he was assured one of the other two are moving on.

I'm mostly joking too. I mean, I realize you had Suarez and the money + past season performance + future expectations meant you probably didn't want to settle for him. It felt like you wanted and deserved a step up into the world class player ladder.

But once the Remy deal fell through and it was becoming clearer and clearer the guy you needed wasn't out there Bony would've been a perfectly solid transition choice.

Aguero, Dzeko and Bony can all play alone up front, and Aguero and Dzeko can play as a two. Not sure I've seen Bony play in a partnership, but I think it'd work. So with just 3 players, they'd have a lot of options. We got it completely wrong in that regard as far as I can tell.

Balotelli can only play in a two
Lambert can only play in a two
We can't play them both together unless we're desperate
Borini can't play on his own, or in a two
