Guardian have a feature on players out of contract this summer - http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2015/jan/06/out-of-contract-free-transfers-summer-football

Luiz Adriano
Sami Khedira
Dani Alves
Loris Karius
Winston Reid
Fabian Delph
James Milner
Yehven Konoplyanka
Fabian Schar
Andrea Ranocchia
Andre Ayew
Andre-Pierre Gignac
Mathieu Flamini
Mikel Arteta
Stephane Mbia
Christopher Samba
Alberto Aquilani
Alexandre Pato
Yoann Gourcuff
Emmanuel Adebayor

for all you would be suitors out there

Gignac could be described as a slightly inferior version of Olivier Giroud, which would still make him a decent acquisition for many clubs. He would certainly be an upgrade on Emmanuel Rivière at Newcastle, while he would greatly improve the likes of Hull, Leicester and Queens Park Rangers if they could wait until the summer.

bit harsh innit

had a world cup, has been playing without Koscielny, and yet he's still done an OK job despite wenger's failure to secure another real quality CB. he has some of the best distribution in the premier league as far as defenders go too IMO.

i'll admit that it looks like he's losing a step, but overall i wouldn't say he HAS to go

Not at all. I care about the team.

What has he done in the World Cup? Last season was good but now? He plays while obviously looking he lost interest in football

Why are you loling? its not like Mignolet and Jones are world class @_@

good luck with that too

Firstly, Mignolet and Jones are dogshit, but that doesn't mean I can't comment on other clubs' keeper situations

The :lol was because it is silly to expect a new Courtois or De Gea. Young keepers with that potential and reputation get snapped up by the top top clubs before anyone else gets a sniff, and they only come around a few times a decade.

We both should have gone for Diego Lopez.

Flamini got a three year deal?

...

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahaha

He was signed as a stop-gap

wonder if city just want someone reliable. bony isn't going to be homesick like negredo, isn't made of glass like aguero and jovetic, isn't inconsistent like dzeko. high fee but limited risk.

2 years ago. On 50k. Really not such a bad deal. Shouldn't be a starter but is a useful player to have.

Please leave.

Flamini isnt a bad player to have when you want someone to marshal youngsters in capital one cup or your first choice DM needs a rest. He'll come on a do good job for a game but thats all he is, a decent squad player (kinda like John Obi Mikel)

Problem is Arteta isnt much better.

Edit: Flamini's contrac runs at the end of the season.

Robben from RM to Bayern was around €25M

:lol

Transfer fees in general have gone up a lot since then and Madrid were willing to take a loss. Now it seems like they always make a huge profit on their sales. I don't know if Bayern would pay it, but in today's market his fee would have probably been double that.

You may be right. Just looked again and most places are saying 2.

Fuck off Wilbur/Laboured
I'm certain that it was 1 year with allowance for another year, which we are currently. At the end of this season he's gone. Finally. Arteta can be the squad player, Flamini can get lost.

I agree with all that wilbur but think it's odd for people to criticise Bony. He wants to play CL football, who on earth doesn't

Greatest respect to Swansea this is a step up at a prime time of his career

There is playing Champions League football, and then there is watching it from the stands. There are a ton of clubs he could go to play, and City isn't one of them.

What has he done in the World Cup?

well for one he played in it and went to training sessions for germany. obv there's going to be some fatigue and wear and tear from that duty. especially now that he's in his 30s.

Last season was good but now? He plays while obviously looking he lost interest in football

Ok.

It's not that hes been trying to lead a defense comprised of mathieu flamini and children, he didnt get any offseason rest, and he's missing his key partner (Koscielny), and his coach didnt bother to secure him any reinforcements.

Per Mertesacker just hates playing football.

What are the negatives of buying Strootman this window? Just the injury? Or would we be milked good and proper.

Of course you can comment mate but dont talk like you got better xD

I agree though, superb keepers a rare to find these days

Khedira played will in our last match, showed good form. I would want to keep him at Madrid, he brings a nice physical game to our mid-field and allows Isco to do what Isco does best.

You are right.

Lets celebrate.

Have to sign someone this summer.

I'll never talk as to anyone a though our keepers are better, can't fucking stand having a choice of Mignolet and Jones in goal. Want them both gone asap.

In fact, I rate Sczezhny quite highly, with the caveat that he too often does something idiotic when he should just keep it simple. Its like he has the confidence of Neuer, without quite having the ability to make it work every time.

You can get away with that 99% of the time though, but when it happens twice in one match, costing goals both times, people react as though it negates everything he does well, and he's costing the team goals all the time.

Its the perfect oppurtunity to give Ospina some time to show what he's got, without giving up on Schzezhcnzcnzncy altogether

Wonder if Balotelli scored ¬¬
