what happened to Everton?

They're in freefall

Lukaku has been shit this season, as has their defense including their main strength, the fullbacks. The crowd is getting more and more frustrated with them giving goals away and dropping in the table like a stone.

Now they're losing 1-0 at home to West Ham in the FA Cup, and the ref keeps giving fouls against them, not all of them correctly.

Fans are leaving now, with 8 minutes of normal time left.

Both Merseyside managers are under pressure, though Rodgers seems to be trying to change things up to turn things around.

Unlucky for Morata but he gets the yellow since he takes another step before he then tumbles down. Definitely clipped his trailing leg a bit.

:loool Morata.

Pen.

Yes he made the most out of it but he touched him, late challenge in which he never had a chance to catch the ball.

Making the most out of it would've been not diving to the ground. Challenge was late but the contact was greatly exaggerated.

Everton need to get rid of Martinez before he does more damage to the club.

They're in a pretty precarious position.

Distin needs to be phased out now, and Jagielka will be in that position soon, but they haven't got the money to replace them with any certainty. They spent a (for them) huge amount of money on Lukaku, and he's massively regressed since.

Tim Howard is getting on in years as well, and is picking up injuries, though I expect they'll replace him quite easily, even if its with someone not quite as good. Coleman and Baines are out of form, but they should pick up at some point. Barry as well is nearly 34 and out of for, so he'll probably need replacing soon, and Eto'o is ancient.

The bright spots are probably Barkley (if only for potential, he's not there yet for consistency and reliability) and the return of Oviedo, who I really rate.

The worrying thing if I was an Everton fan would be the fact that Martinez's only real plan to change things up is to switch whatever position Eto'o is playing in, to little effect.

And of course they fucking score as I'm writing that essay. Can't see them winning the replay, draw tonight would be a good result for Liverpool

I'd take Kovacic at City any day of the week. He's good.

I'm watching the BeIn stream on their web page.. Hudson isn't commentating on this one. Don't think he does much if any Serie A football.

Agree on Kovacic. Brilliant player and I can see him going to a bigger club in the near future
unless Thohir goes all crazy and build a strong squad

Also noticed that inter player was saying to the ref that the contact was outside of the box.
Looked pretty much inside to me.
