Not so much Islam as a religion. But those imams who give hate speeches and influence youngsters. If it were possible to pinpoint exact numbers on the group of extremists I'm convinced it would be a pretty small percentage of the Islam community. And it's extremely hard to tackle them. These guys are better organised than the bloody mob.

Its frustrating I know, but there are a billion muslims on the planet, from various parts, from diverse cultures. Islam has been around for a very long time these cunting savages dont speak for all muslims, much like Wetboro doesn't speak for all Christians

By now you'll need at least a century for damage control. So many (ignorant) people will lump all Muslims together judging by the actions of those very few maniacs. It's unfortunate.

Or just hire Fady for PR

Agreed.

Full disclosure, I'm muslim myself. But I willingly refuse to practice it.

Chelsea should let Vitesse take the £500m FFP hit it would cost to sign Messi and get him on loan. It's probably the only way Messi will be able to make his dream move come true.

The whole Paris situation is very tragic :(

Islam needs to fucking reform itself ASAP, it keeps breeding these fucking savages. We no longer live in the crusade periods, we're a lot more civilized.

Fuck.

Islam doesn't breed savages. The people who commit these acts are disturbed individuals who are easily manipulated by the likes of al quieda in the name of islam.

Your way of thinking will only lead to more fundamentalists rising up. One of the main reasons why there is such hatred towards the west is because we have tried to force our way on other people for nearly a thousand years. Our way or the highway.

You are right that we are not in the crusades anymore, but western countries have grown naturally and civilised through its own enlightenment. This is something that European nations have never cared about for other countries. Always forcing its cultures and ideas on other countries.

Just like with globalisation. the reason why European countries like the UK and America became such financial powerhouses for their eras was because they had closed economies and built up their economies. Now that they are rich and successful, they believe everyone should be able to trade with each other. If you don't open up your borders then they will force you to. Thus, holding poorer countries back and prevented them from having the same opportunities that they once did.

if we beat Millwall (massive if), the Chelsea game will be a saturday 3pm game

yessssssssssss

*checks train ticket prices

If we beat Millwall and Clevdog/Wisdom gets sold we might actually have some dosh to spend on players. The mind boggles.

And I don't understand how you can say something as stupid as 'islam needs to reform itself' then.

Obviously this is more of a cultural issue than a the work of the shadow leaders in an organised religion.

Full disclosure, I'm a practicing muslim that is fucking appalled at what is happening.

How has Wisdom been this season?

Heard he's been pretty mediocre overall, but from what I've seen of the goals West Brom have conceded, he doesn't seem to be at fault for too many of them

which puts his streets ahead of Lovren

Pulis will get him into shape.

No it isn't, but a lot of people probably think it is. Using this logic people are going to shit if City or Chelsea (and any other club) actually go for Messi this summer using the way they can get around FFP. The only thing that would make it difficult for them would be the 300million wages over 6 years.

It might even be possible to use a third party even with the rules against it, as football clubs are still able to purchase footballers on third party contracts, as far as I know there doesn't seem to be any reason why a third party couldn't fully buy out a contract then fully transfer that to another club acting as a middleman and relinquishing ownership.

The only way the Lampard situation doesn't look completely crooked is if you start from the assumption that these big businesses are way to smart for little ole folks like us and we should just let them do whatever they want. The City conglomerate has made a number of directly contradictory statements about the contract and that is something that has to be looked into.

I think Islam does need a reform and I certainly dont think it's stupid to suggest it. You say it's a cultural issue when Islam itself is so deeply integrated into the muslim way of life. I don't see Islam and culture being different in the muslim world, I see them as one entity.

This is such bollocks. There's no singular "Muslim way of life".

They are very different.

Maybe not in the western world, but I think a lot of places in the middle east have Islam deeply rooted in their day to day cultural life. I'm not sure how you can deny this if you lived in the region long enough.

Well, that sound REALLY stupid, sorry.

Is there a Catholic way of life? I certainly hope not.

No, the majority of catholics around the world have been able to separate religion and their way of life. Unfortunately I think a lot of muslims haven't been able to do so. I'm not saying people who practice Islam are terrible monster and are all savages, I just think fundamentally Islam needs somewhat of a reform and accept western values as globalization kicks into a higher gear.

I don't live in the Middle East but have friends who are from or have family from there and there's people with vastly different experiences and practices of Islam. From devout to secular, left wing to right wing, rich to poor etc etc. In a European context I think this kind of homogenising of Muslims is really dangerous for anyone Muslim (and for people who look like they might be Muslim) and damaging to society as a whole. There's a search for a simplistic good vs evil, civilisation vs barbarity narrative of an enemy within that's really unhelpful and worrying.
