genuine question: why is gerrard leaving? if rodgers doesn't want him why does he play so regularly, if he plays so regularly and gets paid well why does he want to leave?

The feeling is that Rodgers feels pressured into playing him, that he doesn't want to have to drop a legend for fear of what the fans would think. As for why he's leaving, his legs are gone.
It was Shankly and Paisley's view that no matter how big a name or a legend you were, your legs should go at another club, not Liverpool. It's why Souness, Case, Keegan, Toshack etc didn't end their careers at Anfield.

Claude sounds like he's smoked 3000 cigarets in one day. I did laugh at him saying "Their players aren't as good as ours!" No they are and that's why they are where they are in the table. Southampton are a bloody good team.

Watched Budapest a few days ago.

Beatiful movie, defiantly in my top 5 for this year.

I also want to watch Birdman and Nightcrawler but neither is showing at local cinemas :/

I guess I'm just used to (some of) the class of 92 starting and finishing their careers at United. It wouldn't feel right knowing Giggs/Neville/Scholes were shipped off somewhere else to avoid the embarrassment of showing their age.

Still feels weird knowing Schmeichel finished his career with City after winning the Treble with United.

Edit: Actually saying that, Ferguson was pretty ruthless. Wonder why he kept them in particular?

Good lord, this season is a complete write-off. If it wasn't for other teams being as shit as us, I would even doubt we still be in a shout for the fourth place trophy.
