I’d dump her if she only got me a 5080.

Law of Diminishing Returns has been massively effecting me. I have no interest in get a PS5 or a PS5 Pro. I have my computer rig which is around a PS5 in Graphics. And even than I only notice the difference between my PS4 and my Gaming Rig whenever I play Open World Games like The Witcher 3

It's why I'm going more and more into portable gaming. Going forward it's Nintendo Switch 2 or whatever else comes out from them on the console front and Steamdeck. I'm planning on updating my rig one day but nothing too crazy. I still game on 1080p. I have played on 4k before and can tell the difference but it's not a deal breaker for me

Have you saw Tifa’s milkers yet?

Oh Lordy lord above

I'm putting it on hold

I got to Chapter Two

I got to my first real town and man there's so much slow down

If I can't find a mod to fix it or SquareEnix isn't able to fix it, I'll wait to play the game when Steamdeck 2 comes out or just wait for the Switch 2 port since the Switch 2 version is being made in mind for what that system can do. I love my Steamdeck but man some games still run bad on it

i wouldn't have felt the need to upgrade if i stuck with a 144hz monitor but i bought a 360Hz and of course it's harder to push an extra 220fps :messenger_grinning_sweat: i wasn't getting bad performance at all but just wanted to make better use of my monitor. a 5090 lets me do that especially with frame gen x3 + 4.

i had a steam deck but sold it. i'm not into handhelds much. i'll still buy a switch but will probably play it docked most of the time.

with FFVII Rebirth i felt like that is too much change in pace all the time. you focus on the story then it slows down and you do all the the open world stuff. it's a great game much better than Remake but i started to ignore the open world stuff and focus on the story.

what do you think of the mini game?

Yeah for me my next PC Build

3000 Series or 4000 Series (Either 3070 or 4070) or I might go for the 1000 Series or 2000 Series (1080 Ti or 2080 Ti) When it comes to GPU been look at Nvidia with 8 GB to 16 GB of RAM

With the RAM, I'm going with either DDR4 or DDR5 32 GIGs of RAM. My current RAM is 32 GIGs DDR3.

CPU, I'll most likely go with Intel again but I heard AMD has some good CPUs so been checking them out

Storage wise I have three 1tb hard drives currently and one of them is a SSD

I'm looking into getting a NvMD Drive and uping each storage capacity to 4 to 6 GIGs. Looking to have at least 3 to 5 hardrives total

OLD PC SPECS

2 X 980 TI (3 - 4 GB VRAM)
32 GB DDR3

i had a steam deck but sold it. i'm not into handhelds much. i'll still buy a switch but will probably play it docked most of the time.

Well I love doing emulation alot so I'm thinking of playing a PS1 game off an emulator I installed on Steamdeck. Maybe the Parasite Eve games or Fear Effect games or Dino Crisis games

One of my friends started to really hate the game the further he went into it. He was complaining about the story and the mini games (This especially)

what do you think of the mini game?

So far I've enjoyed the ones I came across like the Mako Sucking Mini Game. I just started to really get into Queen Blood. It's a fun mini game and I'm a sucker for card minigames

As for the game itself, I think that Final Fantasy VII should have been remade into one game. I enjoyed Part One but I had issues with it. This 3 Part "Remake" of FFVII isn't actually a remake, it's more of a retelling. Where it just feels like a new game. So I've been mixed on that aspect of the game

depend on your budget and what you want of course but i wouldn't go any lower than 3000 series now. 4000 prices have got up thanks to 5000 but should be able to get a good deal on 3000.

as for ram 32GB is good. i'd only use 16GB in a non gaming system. my macbook is 16gb. gaming at any level these days then 32gb. DDR5 prices have fell quite a lot but DDR4 is even cheaper of course and still worth using. the AMD 5800X3D uses DDR4 and still holds up well against the latest CPUS. AMD 7000 cpus and above use DDR5.

i highly recommend an AMD cpu but get what suits you. intel is bad but a 7000/9000 cpu from AMD is better value.

storage is easy. just get that capacity you need. with PS5 prices have dropped a lot :) speed doesn't really matter as long as it's some kind of SSD. nvme is faster but you're probably not gonna notice or need it.

on emulation i tried doing that on my steam deck too but too much trouble and effort lol but yeah it's good for emulation.

queens blood felt like bullshit at first but i got the hang over it. it's fun but not as good as Gwent. i stopped playing it towards the end.

the game is really good but could've been shorter but i guess you get out of it what you want to put into it. so whatever :)

yeah. maybe one day they'll release a version with all 3 parts in one lol. i had never played VII og until after Remake. it's still fun to see all the locations in Rebirth but i have no idea where the story is going especially with Aerith/Tifa.

i'm a bit rusty on the ol' train driving. took the new train for a spin.

was wondering why the doors weren't opening. i got confused between left and right :messenger_grinning_sweat: and then when my brain turned on i was wondering why they weren't boarding. just a glitch.

it's a good train but not much better than the old one 🤷‍♂️ and i'm disappointed i can't control the door windows or air conditioning :messenger_tears_of_joy: it obviously makes no difference at all but i loved being able to roll down the window and "feel" the virtual breeze or turn on the AC when it's a warm area. maybe you can but nothing happens when i put the mouse over the dials :(

overshot the platform and had to reverse to let the passengers off. didn't realise how close the next station was.

can't wait to try out the pendolino! the west coast mainline only goes from london to milton keynes though :(

this is the full west coast mainline so yeah only a little section of it is in the game.

As for Flight Simulator....

OMG the install is so much faster. Probably because it's only a 10GB install.

The last time I installed Flight Sim 2020 it took me TWO DAYS and I have 370Mb/s internet. The game was "only" 140GB but it shouldn't take 2 days. The issue was how long it took to decompress files.

The catch is that the game is streamed. At first everything looked a mess but i guess things downloaded as I played. Makes sense. No point downloading literally the entire world and only downloading places you actually fly.

Controls feel a bit weird. I'll need to mess about with the assists and stuff.

Also frame generation is broken :( when it's turned on the entire screen flickers different colours.

That sounds like a boring ass game Grandpa 👀

I've always wondered what this little kitty cat is typing so furiously.

It looks like he's using a MacBook and typing on the lower half of the keyboard at each side of the space bar

So i asked ChatGPT what can be typed using the letters A, S, Z, X, C, D, M, K, L

the first answer was "small sack" sound familiar NotMyProblemAnymoreCunt NotMyProblemAnymoreCunt ???

some gonna slap some sense into me. thinking about buying 10x£1 notes for £23 :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_tears_of_joy:

they are out of print for ~24 years now. i miss them. these are consecutive numbered notes as well!!

actually thought it'd be more expensive.
