The thing with KojiPro acquisition is that it kind of doesn't make sense. The main reason to have this studio is Kojima. When he retires (this year he'll be 59) then the studio is not KojiPro anymore. Of course it can be that he'll make games for next 10-20 years so it's a lot of time (but it's assumption). Also the studio can be the new Sony Japan Studio in the future, but I don't think that it's why you buy studio now.

Of course Sony and Kojima have a long history especially after his Konami departure. Still you don't have to buy a studio for it to make games for you. In this regards From Soft has more sense and value (I'm not saying that anyone should buy them).

Interesting, with FIFA going away, imagine Sony making use of their UEFA links with Konami Pro Evo.

Always used to be the better game, but let down by lack of real names etc. then eventually FIFA actually became the better game also, so no one cared about Pro Evo anymore.

It would affect EA exactly cause its competition. It might be needed but to assume that Sony could make/publish a UEFA game without impacting the relationship with EA is a bit naive imo.
