And now half of America will be making fun of Heath Ledger. The more ignorant and evil Fox News acts, the more America loves it.

The cunts working for Fox News can't sink low enough. It's sad to see people have so little empathy and turn a tragic event into a fabrication that they can use to peddle their retarded agendas.

If Don Imus can be fired for using the term "nappy-headed ho's" then John Gibson absolutely should be fired for his comments. While Imus was intending to be funny (and failing), John Gibson was clearly using Heath Ledger's death as a way to forward his agenda. I find this and the Cooper Lawrence appearance on FoxNews to be two examples of some of the worst in American media.

ummmm sorry if Old but Danm... Joker 'killed" him??

Heath Ledger thought landing the demanding role of the Joker was a dream come true - but now some think it was a nightmare that led to his tragic death.

Jack Nicholson, who played the Joker in 1989 - and who was furious he wasn't consulted about the creepy role - offered a cryptic comment when told Ledger was dead.

"Well," Nicholson told reporters in London early Wednesday, "I warned him."
Though the remark was ambiguous, there's no question the role in the movie earmarked as this summer's blockbuster took a frightening toll.

Ledger recently told reporters he "slept an average of two hours a night" while playing "a psychopathic, mass-murdering, schizophrenic clown with zero empathy ...

"I couldn't stop thinking. My body was exhausted, and my mind was still going."

Prescription drugs didn't help, he said.

Ledger's ghastly image as the Clown Prince of Crime in "Dark Knight" has been an Internet sensation since trailers were released in December, featuring Ledger in full death's-head mode.

His face chalk-white, his hair green and his mouth a sliced red grimace, the handsome 28-year-old Australian actor looked frighteningly true to the character in the Alan Moore graphic novel, "Batman: The Killing Joke."

The movie wrapped filming in the fall - right after Ledger's breakup with actress Michelle Williams - and post-production work finished not long after.

Fox News is literally the most fucking disgusting thing in the world right now. I honestly can't believe a news organization can get away with this type of shit and not be ridiculed and trashed by the general public.

I read somewhere that Nicholson said his comment was directed towards one of the prescription drugs Ledger was taking and which Nicholson had also used in the past. They never actually met.

Ledger's depiction of The Joker is set to shit all over what Nicholson did. It's going eerie watching the film.

Like a lot of us said... it will be Brandon Lee all over again, for those of us old enough to remember that first hand.

Basically you had all of the great movie mags hyping the shit out of the Crow, telling us how awesome Brandon was in it from the footage they saw, interviews galore talking about how much he loved shooting the movie, then bam... right before principal photography was set to wrap, he dies. Then Crow comes out, it's WTFawesome, and everyone realizes how much his death truly sucked.

I expect this to be no different. Once TDK hits his role will likely be as legendary in Hollywood as the Crow, especially if it's discovered that his death had nothing to do with drug abuse.

The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, the Terry Gilliam movie that Heath was shooting, has officially been shut down indefinitely.

Also, apparently Ledger was gearing up to direct his first movie about a chess prodigy. Gilliam had said that he was gonna top him (Terry) as a director. So sad.

The chess movie was called The Queen's Gambit. Based on the novel.

Here's a quote from Terry Gilliam about Heath's performance in 'Doctor Parnassus' (from Variety):

"In an interview last month, a few days after shooting started on 'Doctor Parnassus,' Gilliam said, 'Heath is extraordinary. He’s just so good, and he’s going to be a film director. He’s watching everything, and he’s going to be a much better director than I will ever be.'"

That wouldn't have really been a difficult accomplishment.

Holy shit all this because I was making a joke over a director whose films I haven't particularly liked? Wow indeed gentlemen :lol

Also wasn't exactly aware that not liking Gilliam's movies = bad taste in film. Right.

But I respect what he said about Heath.

Mine was a tongue-in-cheek "fuck you" no matter how wrong you really are. But yeah, I was only posting that because it was something nice about the guy, not one of the "oh he snorted coke off my sister's ass" Jason Lee-isms we've been reading since he died.

My bad then. And yeah there have been some seriously dipshit remarks going around about Heath in the press, obviously. Nice of Gilliam to say the things he did.

Wow.

That he had such artistic ambitions makes it all the greater of a loss :(

Also, Gilliam himself must be feeling pretty suicidal right about now... if you've watched Lost in La Mancha, you know how depressed he can get about the problems he runs into while making films, and this was to be a film quite close to his heart.

Maybe old news but apparently all the theatres are recalling the "Why so serious" posters. I'm having to ship the one I claimed back today. :(

Umm, I think you misconstrued why people were angry at that comment.

I have been greiving his death. He was one of my favorite actors and I'm still down about it. I don't have to know the guy personally to feel bad about what happened.
